Well, I got a good deal on JSA #1.It was in fact the JSA #1 the book is in great condition, and I didn't have to pay $15.00 As far as I can tell, it is not a reprint.There is nothing to indicate on the tile page that it's a reprint.

However-I thumbed through the TPB of the first story arc and saw a part in the very beginning, that is not included in the comic.

So my question is:

Was there a One-Shot that kicked off the series, or something, or was this just added to the TPB?

The very first Secret Files for JSA came out the month before the first issue and has a lead-in story. Word of warning though, it's considerably harder to find than JSA #1.
