No Jinzo can not be destroyed in that way. His effect never triggers, and so there is never anything to chain to. It just blankets the field when he is intially summoned.
What Venom said. Once Jinzo hits the field, his effect activates, and Divine Wrath has to negate the activation of the effect. Since you can't chain to a summon, you have no choice but to chain to the activation of the effect, as Divine Wrath needs to be. And since the effect activates the instant Jinzo has successfully hit the field, Divine Wrath is rendered useless.
It's a continuous effect, and therefore cannot be chained to with Divine Wrath or any other card.
When you summon cards such as breaker, their effect automatically becomes chain link one (the effect of adding a counter), and you can chain to it with divine wrath.

this is where i like Magic terms more than Yugioh terms.
Jinzo's effect really doesn't 'activate', but actually 'comes into play'. Continuous effect just 'enter play' and do not techically 'activate'. to activate would mean that there was a trigger or some other condition.
it also helps when explaining DW where the ruling is always looking for a 'trigger' or an 'activation' that uses the chain so you can chain DW to.
unfortuantely, Yugioh uses 'activate' rather loosely and therefore makes it difficult to rule on effects.
Nah, it is needed to nit pick, and cards like Divine Wrath make it an extreme need.
As I said, Jinzo's effect never activates, it just exists when he is face up on the field. The same is true of King Tiger Wang-hu, Spell Chancleor, and an abundance of others.
Be sure next time though Puzzler if you agree with something, to post something that agrees with it. You kind of contradicted yourself. By stating that Jinzo's effect activates when he is summoned, you are saying there is a chance to chain to it's activation, which is not true. Jinzo is nothing like the monarchs that are being released now, and who's effects activate when they are summoned.
