If a Relinquished or a TER absorbs a face-down monster,does it gain atk/def equal to the face-down monster's?

Well, it is against the rules to make more than one post of the same thing, but I will go ahead and answer your question. What exactly are you asking? If the effect had been errated?? From my knowledge, when you absorbe a FD monster, it is an attack and defense of 0. But, are you saing it was errated?

There was never any errata on Thousand-Eyes Restrict. Considering it has the same absorption effect as Relinquished, it's only common sense to know that f/d monster's are 0 ATK/DEF just like with Relinquished, so they expect people to know that f/d monsters are 0/0 stats without having to print them on the card.

The same goes for other things like Mass Driver and other cards that require tributes for a cost. They expect you to know that you can't "mix" tributing effects together without having to put "Tributes made for a Tribute Summon or for another card are excluded" on the card.

yes there have been errata for TER, a couple of times, but never in regards to face down monsters stats, they have always been considered 0.

the only thing to know about the errata, is that TER doesn't share relinquished's effect of sharing battle damage with the opponent.

meaning an equipped relinquished with 500 atk, atks somthing with 1000 atk (or is atked) both players take 500 damage.

but an equipped TER with 500 atk, atks somthing with 1000 atk, only the controller of TER takes 500 damage.
