I have only a legendary fisherman on the field and ALO. Lets say my oponent has a Red Eyes and he wants to attack. what now must Red Eyes atk my lp, my fisherman, or not atk? plz help
Your opponent cannot attack your lifepoints directly, since you have a monster on your side of the field, wich should be targeted before your lifepoints ... But he can't target it since A Legendary Ocean is on the field (gets treated as Umi) and thus locking your opponent from attacking. Only direct-attack monsters like Jinzo #7 could attack you now, unless ALO gets destroyed (your opponent could play his own Legendary Fisherman too, and give peace a chance :-) ).
Im sorry but Greed is wrong. When Legendary Fisherman is on the field with Umi (ALO) there is no monster to target with an atk so if you were to atk the only target to atk is your life pts. Umi (ALO) and the Legendary Fisherman in no way makes a lock.
Your opponent can't attack you at that point. If you have a monster on the field then your opponent must attack that monster first. Just because "A Legendary Fisherman's" effect blocks your opponent from attacking when "UMI" or in this case "A Legendary Ocean" is on the field, doesn't mean he can attack your life points directly. He must find a way to get rid of either "ALO" or "A Legendary Fisherman" first before he can attack your monster, or summon a monster that can attack directly. His other alternative in this case to do damage to your lifepoints would be cards like "Shooting Star Bow - Ceal" or "Inferno Fire Blast" which would allow his "Red-eyes B. Dragon" to bypass your "A Legendary Fisherman".
In this case Greed is correct and LoDragons is wrong.
I am afraid FlameSprite and LoDragons are correct. If Legendary Fisherman is the only monster on the field and Umi or A Legendary Ocean is in play, your opponent can attack your life points directly. This is why I don't play fisherman in my water deck.
Here is the post from the Official judge's board:
If Player 1 has a face-up "Legendary Fisherman" and "Umi" on the field,
with no other monsters in play, can Player 2 attack Player 1 directly?
Answer:
Player 2 would be able to attack directly.

You and Greed are INCORRECT on this concept...
The opponent with the Red-Eyes CAN attack lifepoints directly if ALO and Fisherman are the only cards on thier field since Fisherman.
