The Lost Millennium Card Preview, Treasured Gifts From Heaven.
A new set is on the horizon, and only weeks away from touching down upon our shores here in the states and the TCG. Some cards will be over looked, while other may gain some respect. Others still will be seen and known before the set touches down. Then there will be the few, the proud, and the forgotten, such as this diamond in the rough. Treasure Gifts from Heaven, or Card of Sanctity as we know it, has changed dramaticly from it's anime incarnation. However the new released version of it is still playable. The only thing that it has against it is that it may not be a card that can be tossed into every deck type. This will normally turn people away from it. How ever lets look at this card in combination with a few other cards, including one from the same set. All card translations for TLM cards come from http://dmcomet.net/. So, many thanks to Spike and Baron. So with out further waiting, here goes my review of this card.

Treasure Gifts from Heaven ( Card of Sanctity) (TGfH)
Magic - Normal
Remove all cards in your hand and your field from the game, draw up to 2 cards from the deck.
Super/Ultimate Rare
Kind of a steep cost to pay isn't it, just to draw 2 cards. However it could be worth it in the right deck. Now what deck might that be? Well there is the RFG decks, that use cards such as Return from a Different Dimension, or Dimension Fusion. This would make removing your field and Hand from game a little more bearable. How ever I do not think that that would make many people happy. So lets looks at another old card that would find a stable home here:

Now this card has normally been show cased as a Strike Ninja fodder for those who utilize it. It has been randomly seen as chaos fodder as well, though not as often as other cards. What this card can do with it's effect is still offer you some defense to your life points after playing TGfH. You would still be able to draw 2 cards, and at the end of the turn these cards would come back as a temporary shield. Now some may be thinking that it is limited, how ever when you have a card that can come back from the RFG area when removed from the hand, deck, grave or field, how can you pass it up?
Next up on the possible helpers for this card is a card located in this set along with TGfH. This card is none other then the newest partner in the Different Dimension cards.

Survivor of Another Dimension
Dark/Warrior/4/1800/200
When this card is face-up on your field and it is removed from game from the field, special
summon this card to the field at the end of turn.
Rare
Now aside from being the newest fodder for Chaos Decks, this cards offers a counter measure against DDWL, as well as DDAs. Now it can also offer something to help lessen the impact and the cost of TGfH. When he is face up on the field and RFG(no more worries of a BLS removal or anything of that nature), he returns to the field at the end of the turn ready to do battle once again. Now how is that technically useful? Well it can be used as Tribute Fodder for a higher monster, it can be used to lessen the cost of TGfH, and it helps to combat the rampant DD family seen in most of today's Decks. Will this make TGfH more widely used? Probally not, but it will make playing a RFG deck worth playing.
Now while some may say that Treasured Gifts from Heaven is still not worth play, and they may be right, it probally is not worth a second of play in most competetive decks. It stills offers a new dimension of play for many of us to experiment with and play around with. This card can be used with many decks, including a DMOC OTK deck, that has shown up in some locals. It also offers more then just one use for several cards, DDSP, and SoAD. It may not be worth the 2 card draw, and it may not be worth the cost of the hand and field removal. How ever I believe if properly played, and in the proper deck, it can be a card worth using. You would have to make sure you have cards worth wasting, and also be sure to be able to completely take advantage of what it does to you. To take advantage of that I would recommend Return from The Different Dimension, as well as Dimension Fusions. Also it may be worth running Miracle Digs, just to be able to get cards back in the graveyard if needed. Chaos End would also add a Dark Hole effect.
All in all this card main not be main stream material, but it can be used by the FEW, the PROUD, the ORGINAL! It can be effective if used right, which can not be said for very many cards. This card may get over looked by people, as it does not go well with the current meta. Most people will seek it out to own a card that is from the Anime, even with it's dumbed down effect. This card may not be one of the gems of the set, but I think it is one worth looking at. If you decide to make a deck based one this card, I would highly reccomend trying to abuse it to it's fullest extent. As after pulling off some of the combos or using some of the cards needed maybe be a little costly, so it would be best to get the biggest BANG for your buck.
I could immagine the first turn in an exodia deck.
draw first 6 (-6)
Card destruction (-5)
pot (-2)
graceful (-3)
X2 upstart (-2)
Card of Sactity (-2)
Minus half the deck, and running miracle digs in triplicate would soften the blow quite a bit. X3 reincarnation would be necisary, as would X3 DD Scout Plane and X3 Survivor from a differant dimmension (probably DD survivor).
Hmmm, this cards will be good for my chaos Deck :) (I dont mean a BLS - Eotb deck, it uses card like gren maju chaos end and chaos rider G.)
But sure it wont go in any deck...
I thought Survivor of Another Dimension was EARTH.
You know the rookies won't be able to play this card correctly, but us true veterans can handle it and find SOME sort of way to abuse it. So far we've grabbed seemingly useless Commons and made them be Semi-Restricted (Night Assailant), Restricted (Protector of the Sanctuary) or overall Banned (Scientist).
I'm pretty sure if we thought about it and tried, Card of Sanctity can meet the same fate.

GREAT ! more out of game cards for my gren majus, bazoos, and i might even be able to pull off XYZ even quicker now :classic: . I checked out the pack it isnt bad infact its great I might be thinkin of playin a rock deck. I'm satisfied with this pack also cant wait for wicked god - reshef :classic: .
The set seems alright. The one thing I like about it is that I cant see any cards that people are going to be heavily looking for to put in there deck (please correct me if im wrong)
Myself, Im looking foward to the E-Hero's. I want to build a deck with them (not a clone of Judai's deck). It should be fun to play. It seems to me that they have a lot a potential.
How about this? Wait till your hand has several tribute monsters (Jinzo, Airknight, DMoC, ect.) and use Feather of the Phoenix to set Dimension Fusion on the top of your deck. Play Card of Sanctity, draw the Dimension Fusion, then let the crazy beasts run free on the field.
If you are topdecking alot, CoS might not be so bad. Remove the one currently useless card in your hand to draw two more.

I think Brain Control is gonna see a lot of play. I know it's nowhere as strong as Change of Heart, but it's still going to see a lot of play.
That Reshef-thingy (don't remember the full name) may herald a second coming of ritual deck.
After thinking about it, my choice of words in the previous sentence is pretty ironic.
When "Zera the Mant" comes out, he'll be the 4th Fiend Ritual.
I agree. Brain Control is the Lightning Vortex of this set. EVERYONE will want one and will trade their life for it.
Card of Sanctity will be the heart-breaking card. I'm going to HATE seeing all of those little kids open their packs, get Card of Sanctity and then read the effect.

I love that awrrior that comes back when removed from play, I will run him, Also i think this set is more about machines than chaos though, despite the fact of the removal cards we have just read about
This set has a major boost to machines and Rocks, but I would have to say mainly rocks.
THe only reason I mentioned the cards I did for Treasured Gifts from Heaven is because they can play a large part in using it. Most of the time if you have a field full of monster you may not want to use this card. How ever if some of those monsters were Survivor, or DD scout planes, then I think you may actually use this card. They help to lessen the blow, and it can be worth using if you dedicated a deck to that style of play.
Now I am not saying this card is going to be souly for a Chaos style deck, if anything I would advocate against using it for that type of deck. I would also reccomend people not using Survivor in a Chaos Deck. How ever, if he does turn out to be a Dark monster, such as it states on DmComet, count on him being tossed in with D D Warrior Lady and DD Assailant. This would only give Chaos decks a little more power, and make summoning a Chaos monster a little cheaper.
I would love to see a deck based around Treasured Gifts from Heaven, and I would enjoy seeing it played in a Regional. It may not place well but I know it would blow your opponent's mind at first glance. That is until you bring all the monsters back and smack them with xxxx amount of damage.
i love the new sphinxs i knw this is spamming or something probably(sorry if it is) but im going to make a new deck with the new and old sphinx's (if any body wants to see the decklist PM me)
anyways, card of sanctity was already released, it was released some time ago in the exclusive pack (I'll post my source in a moment, need to copy and paste)
aw, I forgot you can't edit your posts in this forum. anyways, here's my source
