Here a neat TML card I got at the Waco,Tx seek preview. I bet alot of people will find many uses for her.
Elemental Mistress Doriado
Light
3 star
Spellcaster/Ritual/Effect
This card can only be Ritual Summoned with the Ritual Spell card, "Doriado's Blessing". The Attribute of this card is also treated as Wind, Water, Fire, and Earth
Now people can find many different ways to utilize her effects. One example is using it for the Fuh-Rin-Ka-Zan Trap Card which I'm sure many noticed. This really makes me excited for the offical release of The Lost Millenium because I just need its ritual card to summon this little lady. :)
This card isn't constrained to just one deck type, I hope to see this card open up new types of deck stratigies that will bring some chaos decks as equals to its less popular counterparts.
Well I hoped you liked the small reveiw I made for the card. Let me know what you think.
I've had an Elemental deck made since the released TLM in Japan. I'm actually kind of happy that they stuck with the original name, Doriado. Kind of odd since all of the English games have said Dryad for the original monster the Mistress is based off of.
Using her with Fuh-Rin-Ka-Zan is extremely useful. It's like an extra Pot of Greed, Delinquent Duo, Raigeki, or Harpies Feather Duster in one card. The fact that her effect is also active in the Graveyard is an added bonus if you're running any of the Water/Fire/Earth/Wind Special Summon monsters. Also, an Element deck is great fodder for the Chaos monsters since all Element monsters are Lights and Darks. Most of my opponent's were surprised enough to see an Element deck, and they didn't even know what hit them when I brought out BLS or Chaos Soldier.
This card is also a new personal favorite of mine. Just spent $45 on Ebay for 3x of the Ultimate Rare versions of her. Not bad considering that the first one I went after sold for $22.50 (I had bid $22.00)
The name for this card that was thrown around Realms at first was Dryad, but isn't there a card out already named Dryad (not sure if it was released in the US though)? And if that were the case, why was there acceptance of the name Dryad instead of Doriado in the first place?
There was already a thread discussing element mistress but it was labeled under the origonaly thought element master dryad. It has alot of possibilities expecialy fur-rin-ka-zan but I still prefer Homunculus over Element Mistress for element decks. Homunculus has a better attack and only requires 1 card instead of 3. A well built element deck should consist of centering one 1 element and suporting 1-2 more. I went with Fire as the main element with a little earth suport with goats/homunculus and occasionaly Homunclus as wind. I also run it as a chaos deck. It works quite well. The deck in in my deck libary if any1 is interested in looking at it.
