A friend of mine asked me to help him build a really competitive deck for the weekly tournaments at our store. After analysing the local metagame, and the available card pool, it's down to either Fiends or Last Turn. However, considering the rarity of some key Fiend cards, and their popularity in this area, I've decided that Last Turn is probably going to be much easier to work with.
But I need help, and lots of it, 'cos I've never actually built a Last Turn deck before... or even tried one for that matter...
This is the layout so far. In testing it flowed smoothly, pulling a second turn kill off in two consecutive games. I found the need for a third Cat Of ill Omen, though, because I couldn't always fish the components for the win fast enough. The same applies to the 3 Merchants.
3x A Cat Of Ill Omen
1x D. D. Warrior Lady
3x Jowgen The Spiritualist
2x Jowls Of Dark Demise
2x Magical Merchant
1x Morphing Jar
2x Rafflesia Seduction
1x Sangan
1x Sinister Serpent
2x Book Of Moon
1x Card Destruction
1x Graceful Charity
1x Heavy Storm
2x Level Limit - Area B
1x Mystical Space Typhoon
1x Pot Of Greed
3x Reload
2x Upstart Goblin
2x Last Turn
2x Non Aggression Area
3x Solemn Judgment
3x Wall Of Revealing Light
In case anyone's wondering, the Book Of Moons are there to deal with the ever-annoying Jinzo.
I only see 3 things wrong.
No Snagan
No Graceful Charity
Problem with stall.
The top 2 are esential.
The problem I see with the stall I see is that MoP can stall for a long time but you want to stay near multiples of 1000. If you get down to 800 or 500 you risk running into problems with Poison of the old Man and Ceasfire. If you stay right at 1000 your safer. Not much safer but still safer.
With so many spell and trap cards magical merchent isn't going to alot of good.
-1-2 Magical Merchent
-0-1 Self-destruct Button
-2 MoP
+2 Level Limit Area B
+1 Graceful Charity
+1 Sangan
That should help some. I wasn't shure on what to take out for sangan and graceful but they are needed.
I too have never ran a Last Turn deck either but those are the things I have noticed. I also made a fix on your BEWD deck. I would like you to look at your deck and tell me what you think of the fix. That and look at my plant deck.
Acording to what I heard at the tourment that the jowgen/last turn combo doesn't work any more so you might want to put in some more powerful monsters like goblin attack force and other high attack monsters. Can you look at my beatdown deck please.
Meh.......... well in addition to Sfair's fixes, which I do share that Graceful and Sangan are essential for a Last Turn deck................ id exchange:
- 2 Jowls
+ 2 Serprentince Princess
- 3 Reload
+ 3 Monster Recovery
If found that this combo is much more secure and usefull than Reloads and trying to find a way to draw Jowgen out............. remeber that Jowls can not only constitute a win but a draw as well.................. IMPO

Well I beg to differ on that, whoever said that in the tournament you assisted is completely and udderly wrong, you might wanna show them this, and you might wanna read this as well......

"Last Turn" is not a card that Special Summons a monster when it resolves. Therefore you can activate "Last Turn" even while "Jowgen the Spiritualist" is face-up on the field. If the player activating "Last Turn" controls "Jowgen the Spiritualist" and selects it as the monster to keep, the opponent cannot Special Summon for "Last Turn", and there will be no special Battle Phase. However the victory check is still applied in the End Phase
I personaly Don't like adding more combos to an already combo heavy deck. Monster Recover + Serphentine prinses looks like it's more likely to add more dead draws.
Also if I were to remove 2 of the flip effect I would remove one of each becuse It wold keep the other safer from Nobelman.
An interesting idea, and I must say I like it, especially since I had great success with the Serpentine Recovery trick back in the days of Scientist OTK. Thanks Wraith. Although, Sfair has a point too. It's something to think about...
