itīs my opponentīs turn. Heīs got Jinzo in his g-yard and I know heīll special summon him. He activates Called of haunted. I CHAIN it to activate call of the haunted. I raise from the grave my Phoenix. Then I further CHAIN my phoenix to destroy it using TORRENTIAL TRIBUTE.
So ...my question is...if the chain gets resolved, can jinzo negate the Torrential tribute?
ANOTHER QUESTION:
If I have a Hydroggeon on the field, and I destroy NEWDORIA on the opponentīs side of the field, sends him to the g-yard, can I Summon the other Hydroggeon, right??
ANOTHER QUESTION:
If in stand by phase I special summon My phoenix, he does HEAVY STORM. Then Itīs still stand by phase, and cleared the field of magic cards, can I THEN special summon the TREEBORN FROG? Iīd say yes.
ANOTHER QUESTION:
If my phoenix comes back in special summon at standby phase, can my opponent CHAIN CEASEFIRE?
Please bear with my little brother, he wants to read these questions answered. Thanks.
1. No...you have to wait for the ENTIRE chain to resolve first BEFORE you could activate Torrential Tribute, however, when the chain fully resolves, Jinzo would not be face-up on the field, preventing you from being able to activate it at all.
2. In this case, the mandatory effect of Newdoria would be the first chain link (selecting a target for its effect) followed by Hydrogeddon (optional effect, choose whether or not you wish to Special Summon), meaning Hydrogeddon would resolve first and Special summon another one and then Newdoria's effect would resolve, destroying the targeted monster.
I believe that's how it works
3. Yes, I believe you can.
4. Yes...it's just like if Heavy Storm is activated...you and the opponent are able to chain cards that you wish (as long as they meet any requirements they may have) and resolve their effects before Phoenix destroys them.
Yes, he still destroyed it and it was sent to the graveyard, thus his effect has activated. Newdoria was sent and it is activated. Newdoria must target the first Hydro when it activates. Thus, no matter HOW the chain resolves (Hydro then Newdoria or Newdoria then Hydro) another Hydro comes out.
Mandatory effects ALWAYS go onto the chain before Optional effects. Thus Newdoria would be chain link 1 and hydrogeddon would be link 2...
Newdoria would target 1 monster on the field at the time the card activates (ie not the soon to be summoned hydrogeddon) and then hydrogeddon's effect would acitvate.
Hydrogeddon's effect resolves summoning the new hydrogeddon
newdoria's effect owuld resolve destroying the monster it targeted when it activated.
The reason Hyrdo doesnt work when it rushes another 1600 is because his effect only works if hes still on the field after the monster hits the graveyard.
Yeah..that and stuff that takes place in the damage step before (without having to do to the Graveyard) that would get Hydrogeddon off, face-up, the field like Wall of Illusion, Legendary Jujitstu Master, Kelbek and other things.
