very similar to the deck I've been using for a long time. Cool to see someone else take a crack at it. Reminds me of older versions of my deck, but after using it for a few years I've nearly perfected it, feel free to check the link in my sig as I currently lay waste to even the most powerful of CC decks these days.
I'm surprised you dont run any penguin solders and giant trunades, believe me when I tell you that there is little that is more devistating then having a penguin send 2 monsters back, then laying down a griant trunade and following it up with card destruction.
Don't ask for only positive feedback. It makes you look like you left the dye in too long.
I will say nooooooooooo to getting rid of desert sunlights, these things are your savior! You will get smashed to itty bitty pieces from Crossouts and Mystic Swordman lv3s, it will be devistating, but these guys totally save u from nearly anything that can remove your f/d monster b4 it gets its effect off
I know all about the virtues of Desert Sunlight, but I needed to take something out for some room-clearers and those were the first to take the hit. You NEED TT, like it or not, and Vortex works surprisingly well in slow decks like this.
Although TT is a must I agree, it will save your life many times, Lightning Vortex is not somthin you should use. I used to use Dark hole (pre-ban) and Smashing ground in my deck, and then later realized that if you build/play this deck correctly, you will rarely if ever be required to destroy monsters on your own turn. Thus I had a useless Dark Hole taking up space in my hand when I could have drawn somthing more useful. Also, the thing that hurts this deck alot is a low hand count, few cards in this deck are topdeck material which means depleting your own hand is one of the worst things you can do.
Judgment of Anubis is another card u dont need, first because you must discard, second because any effect you could negate with this is solved just as easily with desert sunlight, and thirdly you are not interested in hurting your opponents LPs and if you have good stall cards to work with, that monster your opponent has sitting there shouldnt offer too much trouble anyways. this is somthing I would swap out for TT (as it also destroys all monsters on the field at practically no cost), also, spear cretins are better the shallow graves because you get to summon the monster on their turn, thus meaning you can flip it on your own, with the shallow grave, you must then wait till either your NEXT turn, or hope your opponent attacks it, most of the time however, your opponent will use your shallow to bring back an effect monster that can destroy your newly summoned f/d without flipping it(Exiled Force, Man Eater Bug style monsters, Mystic lvl2, etc)
Now I'm in no way telling you to do what I do with my deck, the way you've built yours is different then mine and thus the stratagy you use will also vary from mine as well, I'm just telling you this because I've found my deck works, and works well. But in the end, this is your deck and you have to build it how you want to.
+1 Night Assailant
+1 Big Shield Gardna
+2 Serial Spell
+1 Pot of Avarice
+1 Ceasefire
Not the perfect Replacement for Cyber Jar but NA is a good card for this deck. With LLAB, Big Shield is one of your best defenders. Not to mention it'll help absorb opposing NoCs.
Decking out is key for this deck so being about to finish off an opponent with the Serial Spell CD combo is important since you shouldnt rely soley on Books and Tsuki to generate the Deck destruction.
And since your LP doesn't really matter to this deck I'd suggest at least side deck 3 Solemn Judgments. Also siding a burn deck would probably be the easiest side deck for this deck.
Thank you all for your posts, they are quite varied.
I agree with TT, not sure on the Spear Cretin...it has to go to the GY. With Shallow, it's comes right out and BoT and Desserts give me a great chance to use it. JoA has saved me so many times it's not funny, especially with the stall I have running.
Confiscation, yeah I agree, got to go, maybe for TT.
i currently had a deck much like tihs mixed with a burn deck that consisted of stealth bird and des koala as the main burn, it worked out sometimes whiel others it lost.
