can u use call of the haunted on jinzo? some people say u can, some say u cant. and what if u summon jinzo while call is on the field? does the monster go to the graveyard? any help would be appreciated

you can summon jinzo with coth. if coth is destroyed, jinzo isnt. if jinzo is destroyed, coth isnt

The button with the word "Search" is your best friend...

Jinzo's effect is a Continuous Effect. That means it is ONLY active while it is face-up on the field.

When Call of the Haunted is activated (let's assume only you have Jinzo), and you select it, that Jinzo is in your Graveyard where its effect is not active. That means Call of the Haunted still resolves and Special Summons the selected Jinzo to your side of the field face-up.

Now that it is face-up, Jinzo IMMEDIATELY negates the effects of all face-up Trap Cards and prevents any Trap Card activations (unless it's Horn of Heaven, Solemn Judgment or Forced Back). However, Call of the Haunted's Special Summoning has already resolved, so Jinzo remains face-up on the field.

And with Jinzo face-up on the field, the rest of Call of the Haunted is negated as well, so even if Jinzo is later "destroyed", then Call of the Haunted will sit in your Magic & Trap Zone meaninglessly until it gets removed by another card effect (you cannot reuse its effect). Likewise, if Call of the Haunted is removed from the field, Jinzo will also not be destroyed.
