Effect: Battle Aura: Discard all cards attached to this character. This character gains +500 to his defense value for the rest of the match.
((Damage 5000))
Agonizing Memories ((Cost 4))
((Damge 9000))
Ok....Now I'm posting this because SO many people have said that they are excited about the new Bui and will be replacing there current Bui as Soon As The Set Is Released.
Well I say "NO!" This card is horrible and does not compare to The ST-Bui.
Pros
-1rst Attack Raises DEF but at what cost o.O
Cons
- 1rst ATK Discards all Items and Techniques on him. And you can't pick not to discard them and not receive the bonus either, because there is no word "may" in there.
-DEF is Lower then ST-Bui
-2nd ATK 4 Cards for 9000, now this is stupid because lets pretend that you used this attack and discard 4 cards to use it. Now if you had the other Bui and Discarded for cards in a Tugoro Deck. His attack would equal that of 13000.
So thats why I think this card is pointless and anyone that has considered using it should reconsider and keep the current Bui in there decks.
do people NOT get the idea of this card? put NOTHING on him and keep using the first attack! 1 for 5000 +500 def each time! THEN when your at the def you want attach items
As far as I can tell, this Bui is a lead off, no item/tech character. Since you won't be putting items or techs on him, you are free to put them on your other chracters. He has a solid 1 cost for 5000 attack, which is pretty decent. Add the Toguro bonus for 8000 or 11000. I agree with the idea of his second attack, it pretty much blows. I guess it's good if he needed to beat Risho with Armors, cuz you could use the attack plus bonus for a whopping 15,000. But I don't think Toguro every has that many cards. All in all, The old bui was a late game player, made to put a giant axe or two on. This bui is a lead off. I have no particular love for Toguro, but the fact that he pumps his defense without the help of any cards, and it STAYS is fairly interesting. Since the first match is usually the slowest, that could give him the time he needs to beef. Plus, for anyone that says he can't use items... AXE BLADE, the staple of a Toguro deck. Only his main attack discards cards. BTW, I don't plan on using him, but that's just cuz i don't play Toguro. I do like to point out the fact that he is a usable charater, just merely used in a completely different way than the old Bui.
I agree with Brandon. With a good Toguro deck, the match will only last two turns (two of yours and two of your opponent's). So, You should only be using his first attack twice at the most (which would give 5500 DEF). He is definately better if he gets to attack first.
In Toguro, Items are the most important thing, but Bui, Tormented Soul can't use them, therefore making you rely an cards like Efflux.
Ok here is a thought most people defenses are 4000 in beatdown decks.with the old Bui you woud have to ditch 3 of 4 if you go first to do 2 wounds know the new Bui lets you ditch 2 of 4 to do 2 wounds now it's always good have cards in your hand and whats better than a beatdown toguro a beatdown\defesive toguro where the have huge attack and huge defese that is amazing. So I would have to say with a dark glare and the other good stuff like team bounus he is amazing.
The new bui has potential. i would still run the old bui in a regular tournament. However in a booster draft the new Bui is awsome to get, just play him in your first match. 1st attack and you have a def of 5000. Not many times can your opponent double that in your first match. Use it again for 5500 def and lastly use Agonizing Memories to finish the first match.
New Bui Regular Tourney: Eh....6/10 There are worse Togoro characters.
new bui Booster Draft: Definitely 9/10
Old Bui regular Tourney: 8/10 Discard 3 for 1000 is awsome for a starter card.
Old Bui Booster Draft:10/10 Can't get any better.
