The first time i looked at him i was appalled at the 3 energy loss to invert him, but the extra destiny can really help if you need to clear a site. 2 battle destiny is all that more atrittion and your opponent should find himself taxed to keep units at that site. not the greatest card but he does have his use every once in a while, not enough times to garner a permenant spot in a deck, but i throw him in occasionally for some change.
Hmm, see that's basically what I was thinking too.
If you can be sure you're going to draw two GOOD destinies, then he probably is worth losing 3 to invert.
Or, if you can be sure he's gonna stick around, then he also might be worthwhile.
But, when your opponent pays 3 to Colt-Burton him... and all they've got to draw is a one? Hmm... I'm thinking he may not make the cut in many of my decks. :D
The 3 energy loss is fairly insignificant depending on the point in the game and alll.. on top of that, quay make it easy to track destiny, what with constantly recycling chars back to your used pile.. So the extra destiny can be helpful a lot of the time.. the key is in tracking like a champ.. or a european.. those guys are shifty.
makes for cheap beatdown. 9 energy= jack+ arkanaka and 2 tracked 6's. if you need to clear a site (rare in my experience) without doing damage, track a 6/5 and play apparaitions to get the 21. boo yah!
I won't argue his worth either way. But I would like to make one small point.
When I play, I disapprove of tracking in the first place. I don't care if other people do it, doesn't bother me, but it's not for me. To me, it's called destiny for a reason. However, I DO have to manage my energy a little more carefully than most, with my style.
The fact that this ability calls for me to LOSE energy, is a bad thing at first, but it does however have an interesting upside. It's a useful ability that I'm not required to pay for. I can lose the energy from wherever I see fit. So I don't have to account for it in my 'Active bank'.
As well, unless it's VERY late in the game, my opponent won't be able to stop me from using it, most likely. They can't Ikazuchi TSV my energy and deprive me of the ability to use it.
Now THAT, I like. I hate to lose energy for any reason whatsoever, but still....
Ok, I'm done rambling now. You may return to your previously scheduled discussion.
While I respect the principle behind your refusal to worry about tracking... I have to say that you are, indeed, crazy. :D
That's like playing poker and completely ignoring the percentages. You don't have to completely trust yourself to fate. I know some very good players who only track in the very, very late game, when it's very simple... in fact, usually I'm that way. But, tracking is a definite, legitimate strategy. So, I wouldn't give it up on principle.
Do what I do, and give it up cause you just can't keep all those numbers straight in your head! ;)

You have a point, but why not control your destiny. Personally, I like to smack my destiny around and call it Susan. :D
