I think the only card that can be used effectively with Pyro Clock is Final Countdown, and that might be the only card that it could be used with period.

No.
You can use "Pyro Clock of Destiny" to advance the turn count by 1 for these cards: "Deck Devastation Virus", "Swords of Revealing Light", "Lightforce Sword", or "Final Countdown".
That's the ruling that officially says what cards work with Pyro Clock of Destiny. However, I personally believe it covers more than three cards in this game.

Oh, yeah, I can see how those would work with Pyro Clock. It would have to be activated on the opponent's turn though, wouldn't it?
Now that you've reminded me of this, wouldn't Nightmare Steelcage and Swords of Concealing Light be other cards that would work with Pyro Clock? Those are the only two I can think of off the top of my head...
According to UDE, the only cards that work with Pyro Clock are listed in that ruling.
Like I said, I don't personally agree with that since there are more cards that could potentially work with it. However, I'm not exactly sure if they've decided to add to the list or not unofficially.

From what I see, UDE isn't saying "only", just a handful of cards that work with Pyro, and the rest we should figure out ourselves.
I believe that Pyro works with a situation that counts turns, but not a specific part of the turn, so Nightmare's Steelcage, Cocoon of Evolution/Perfectly Ultimate Great Moth, and Blockman should work with Pyro Clock of Destiny.
I want to know why it wouldn't work with Clock Tower Prison. Imagine it.
You have two face down Pyro Clock of Destiny and play Clock Tower Prison. End your turn your opponent draws and you activate Pyro Clock. If your opponent doesn't chain you activate the second one then. You already have 3 clock counters to your Clock Tower Prison towards no battle damage.
That would be even more evil. Mwahahahahahahahahaha! Oh sorry. :devious:
Anywho, I don't see how UDE can say it only works on three cards when there are, like other people have said, other cards it should be valid to work with.

It wouldn't work with Clock Tower Prison because it counts a specific part of the turn, the Standby Phase. Even if Pyro Clock of Destiny moves the turn count ahead by one, the turn is still where it was. There won't be another standby phase. That's why those two cards won't work together.
In other news, Eternal Dread from the Edo Phoenix Duelist Pack should get the same results.
you have to remember a few things with pyro clock. it only affects cards that count turns.
that means it has not bearing on cards that count phases.
things like swords of concealing light count phases not turns, so they are not affected. clock tower prison is even more different, it doesn't even count phases, each standby phase it gains a counter and once it has 4 it does something. so it isn't affected either.
it also has no bearing on cards that refer to specific turns.
for something to count turns it must say something like for x number of turns, or after x turns have passed.
things like the moth family do not count turns. they allow you to do something on a specifically mentioned turn. perfectly ultimate great moth says it can be summoned on the 6th turn after cocoon has been equipped. it does not say it can be summoned after 6 turns. it is referring to a specific turn, the 6th. its just like if something says to do something on your next turn, its a specific turn, not a turn counter.
it does not actually change what turn it is, it simply changes the number that has been counted so far.
what this means is that when there is something that is counting turns, it changes the number that the card is currently at. think of it as one of those click counter thingys, that you press the button and it increases the number. turn counting cards click the button at the end of each turn, pyro clock just clicks it an extra time. nothing else changes.
it doesn't have to be used during a turn that is being counted, as long as there is something counting then it will affect it.
again, just like my previous point, pyro clock just clicks all the turn counters when it resolves. it doesn't matter if the current turn is being counted, since pyro clock doesn't make it count the turn early it just changes the number that it was at.
so it doesn't matter whose turn it is when pyro clock is used, any swords of revealing light will click up to the next number.
so far the cards pyro clock works with are:
swords of revealing light
nightmare's steel cage
lightforce sword
final countdown
deck devestation virus
crush card virus
personally i would have said that the 2 virus cards wouldn't work since they refer to the 3rd turn after activation, and they don't say for 3 turns. but that ruling says otherwise. based on the ruling for deck devestation virus I also included crush card virus since their text is the same (except for atk requirements)
i think the reason the viruses work is based off the original text for DDV which said "for your opponent's next 3 turns" which showed that it did count turns.
