After a lot of testing and some changes to the lineup, here is my latest gadget build for SJ in Orlando. Right now the side deck is just temporary, need suggestions and ideas for it, thanx!!
If you're gonna run Solemns, I'd drop the Ultimate Offering, put in Pot of Avarice.
The Avarice goes against the Overload Fusion for Chimeratech, even though i run 3x Solemn's it hasn't been a problem when it comes to Ultimate Offering. I usually find it helps- summon 5 monsters attack they flip mirror force, flip Solemn for the win.
Hmmm.. I wonder exactly how it will fare, without the usage of "Shrink". Because Shrink was one of the major supporting cards, as you know, in the Japanese meta...
There isn't much I can suggest since I have done any testing of the Gadgets... but I wish you the best of luck. =]
+ 2xrush recklessly OR 2x riryoku (depending on playstyle)
7/10. The first two fixes are to make the deck adhere more to the fifth gadget principle. But the last two fixes will undeniably give your deck more punch.

I really like the drop off idea, hmm gadgets with hand control :)
I've been torn between avarice and overload, so if avarice goes in so will the the exiled's probably. Thanx
I really dont think that Solumn Judgment should be in here. The cost isnt really worth it to destroy 3 cards unless you use them late game.
So this is just a suggestion:

Both cards are in the spirit of what gadgets are about : exploiting your extra draw by trading off cards. no card does it better than drop off, since it has no requirement at all. You set it in main phase to, activate it on the next turn's draw phase, and its sure to net you an advantage. Exiled force is a card I don't normally play in most decks myself. I don't believe in wasting my summon to destroy a monster. However in my gadget deck I run 2. Its a good trade card.
And avarice, well, you'll find its simply more deadly than overload for a fifth gadget deck. You could build a gadget/overload deck easily, but then you would do better to support your chimera a little more, and gadgets a little less.

So this is just a suggestion:
- Solumn Judgment x3
+ Mirror Wall x3 (Better than Rush Recklesslys)
Nice Deck
95/100
Yeah, Mirror Walls were in my original build but i opted for widespreads instead. I will most likely try and fit them back in. Thanx
Please don't go with Drop Off in this deck. This is just like Eric Fairchild's build with about 3 changes. Drop Off will activate Dark World monsters, and you WILL see a lot of Dark World due to the fact that deck Devastation Virus can ruin gadgets. 2 types of deck will be ran at SJC Orlando. Gadgets and Anti-Gadgets, with avery small spattering of Monarchs and Toolbox.
I play two drop off, and side for game 2. Haven't noticed any rise in main deck DW. Its a pure trade. It fits the theme perfectly. And like all cards, it can be rendered a bad choice, but that's why you have the snipe hunters, to turn your dead cards into trades.
Be careful with mirror wall. I'd just play defense for a turn or two, let you take the damage from mirror wall, finish the game with a single blow. There goes your advantage ...
Barrel Behind the Door makes for great anti-chain burn shenanigans, what with the whole stopping their chain and redirecting some damage thing.
I initially though King tiger would be a great side deck choice if not even a main deck option against gadgets. Problem is with the number of Monster removal cards a good gadget deck will play. usually this being 3 Smashing ground, 3 Fissure, sometimes Hammer Shot 1-3, 3 Sakuretsu, 3 Widespread Ruin and 2-3 Snipe Hunter. it just won't stay on the field long enough to be effective.
Next Barrel Behind the Door won't work for Chain Burn as it can only be chained to a damage inducing card and if they chain ANYTHING to BBtD it won't get it's effect.
Example: My opponent plays Ring of Destruction I chain Barrel behind the Door then they chain Call of the Haunted Barrels effect won't activate.
As for a good side deck cards, I think Chain Strike x2 and trap board eraser are great cards to side against burn. This is how I would build a side for the SJC=
SIDE DECK-
3x Chain Strike
2xDes Wombat
3xBanisher of the Radiance
3xPikeru's Circle of Enchantment
1x Ceasefire
1x Mobius
2x Goldd
I think there will be a few people playing either hand control or DW. The Goldds have a chance at helping you. Chain Strike is for burn decks and Chain burn. I would put Trap Board Eraseer in your side but alot of players don't like it. Good Luck at the SJC.
