Everyone is talking about how to do IRS - Injection Fairy Lily. Here's a combo that I think could be better. IRS - Proto-Cyber Dragon. Think about it, you would get 3 Cyber Dragons on the field as the same time while your opponent would only get 2 more at most.

yeah, i actually started a machine-irs thread along the same idea. it's a good combo, hoping they don't have anything over 2100 atk. maybe decking/sidedecking a bottomless trap hole would help.

That is a huge waste of Cyber Dragons.

It is not a waste of Cyber Dragons. Unless they have a monarach out, you're in pretty good shape. Even if they get gadgets out, it won't be that big of a bonus for them. In fact it hurts gadget when you consider what just happened.

This combo is old fashion. Although I use it myself IRS for Cyber dragons does have huge weakness. Bottomless traphole removes special summoned monster(s). So if you carelessly use IRS for cyber dragons, you're done for.

The combo is interesting, but it suffers from the lack of special summon cards that can trigger IRS. Last Will is about to get banned, which leaves only Marauding Captain. It's great if you can pull it off, just don't expect to get it off very often. Lily doesn't have this problem, since being a spellcaster gives her access to Magician's Circle and Magical Dimension.

What about using Shining Angel to SS Proto to the field?

You cant activate IRS in the damage step

You attack my Shining Angel with your Breaker. SA dies and fetches a LIGHT monster from my deck (Proto-Cyber Dragon). I activate my face-down IRS and SS 3 Cyber Dragons.

I am pretty sure that is how I want it to work, please tell me if I missed something (sleep-deprived right now).

actually what you are missing is the timing: since shining angel effect activates when its destroyed at the end of the damage step (if I remember correctly) you cannot activate IRS since only counter traps and things that modify your ATK/DEF can be activated in that phase (again if I remember correctly). But I am 100% sure that you cant IRS with Shining Angel, I am just not sure if I remember exactly the process that prevents you from doing so (I always had trouble remembering the exact order of the stream of events that takes place in the damage step).

Since you can only activate cards which effect attack or defense of monster(s) in the damage, IRS can't be chained

but i use 2 m captains, call, pre, and last will (until the 1st) and thats usually enough...

then i also ran/run 3 power bonds to do 1 massive rush...its not that consistant, but a ton of fun to see ur opponents face when u do that to them is just priceless

Another way to special summon would be with Reasoning and Monster Gate, although you would already have to have IRS in hand to make the combo work and Proto-Cyber Dragon would have to be the monster special summoned.
