Well as many people know that in big tournaments the dominant deck is a form of machine aggro combined with machine duplication also monarch is being highly played and if build right easily defeat machine so what do you use to counter these at first pulling the rug was counter against monarch but a card was over looked I'm talking about FORCE BACK yeah true they get the monarch back but its a good card to main deck too cause pulling the rug is too situational force back can be used on many things u don't want hitting the field that turn plus its a counter so it stops jinzo theses are just my opinions though and against machines the best thing to use would be widespread ruins and smashing grounds simply cause they don't target
I've always been a big fan of Forced Back. Sure it gives you no card advantage, but it still messes with the tempo of the game. You really just need to be able to capitalize on playing it. It gives you knowledge of your opponent's hand and can allow you the ability to play around something or force your opponent into making bad plays.
Yes that is exactly why in my opinon is a very underrated also a card that I believe should begin to see more gameplay in main decks are darkworld lighting and goldd not just in darkworld decks but I mean overall decks because think about it darkworld lightning destroys any facedown on the field and if ur lucky and have goldd toss it now u have another attacker and with all the thestalos and hand destuction running around he works perfect
Well both Goldd and Dark World Lightning saw a ton of play in Justin Womack's deck from Nationals. Part of the problem with the Dark World monsters has always been that when people see them they think combo. With the amount of Brain Controls that are being played these days, Dark World monsters, Goldd and Sillva, really aren't bad choices. I tend to favor Sillva over Goldd because you can play around Goldd's second effect easier than you can play around Sillva's.
I also love the teching of Protector of the Sanctuary by Paul Levitin. Using this card really is brilliant as it shuts down Destiny Draw, Morphing Jar, Card Trooper, Cyber Phoenix, Dekoichi the Battlechanted Locomotive, Pot of Avarice, Destiny Hero - Disk Commander, and even Rare Value. It really wrecks havoc on the metagame right now, I'm starting to do a lot of testing with it.
Same here, I am thinking of all these ways to stop all the draw power while you still keep card adv. The only problem I see is that most of the cards used are either -1 to you and really nothing to your opp. or the cards being played are such bad top-decks.
Exactly, which makes Protector of the Sanctuary the best bet we have right now. It has respectable stats, 1100 can run over Card Trooper, which is a huge reason this card should see play. Basically the only draw monsters it can't take out are a face up Dekoichi, which has most likely already drawn it's card anyway, or a Cyber Phoenix.
This makes me want to try out a Ratbox deck all over again. Not only do you have access to this little gem, but you add Exiled Force, Injection Fairy Lily and a whole list of other goodies. Throw in Spell Striker and Xav's favorite Dark Dust Spirit and you have something that just might work.
Yeah at times you will get stuck with them another card I found was pure genious I saw was being ran by the 9 time shonen jump top 8 and winner of 1T who's real name I can't spell was (The light- hex sealed fusion) is amazing u just speacial summon your cyber dragon and then summon your hex and bring out cyber twin dragon without any real effort
Now I need to go back and look at the Tactical Evolution list again. I always miss a lot the first time I read through it. I remember not being to impressed by what it had to offer.
Other than the Machines and the ever present Monarchs, what else is going on in the metagame these days? I have been at training for three months and am trying to get caught back up so taht I can start to build a new deck. But knowledge is a good thing to have. How are the Six samurais as a deck? Also the new stock of fire monsters in Force of the Breaker make me wanna revisit the fire decks I used to run.
