I just checked amazon.com and at least this guy has written SF books before. He's not a brand new author, just new to MW. I'll give it a try.

Seems promising.

I hope he's read "Ghost War" and the Coleman books, to get a good taste for the Universe.

I hope he's read the Battletech novels, those will give him a taste for the universe.

Any actual professional writer takes the time to do research into the setting of thier novels. The only thing we can hope is he does the right kind of research rather then just reading the Delrio books.
