Indeed, I was brushing up on my Unit knowledge on the WK websites for the upcoming National Qualifier, and I saw this guy. I at first wondred why there was another DF locust...and thought maybe it was just the same one with an erronous name...apparantly I was wrong. I took one look at her dial and I WANT THIS PIECE...however, after scourings the entire WK website, I cannot figure out just from where this piece can be acquired. Is it a convention prize? If so, which convention? Is it a player's reward? Is it a Battlemaster's reward? Where does this piece hail from...and why can I not find it? :( :( :(

We don't know yet. It could be an upcoming convention LE, or a Sealed booster or other tourney prize.

Philter451 you won't capture mine. The new Locust is great, but I am not gonna put it in harms way. This could be a great piece but this will be used with very delicate, strategic moves. 8 clicks of alpha strike should be spent on smashing a mech obviously, but one better make sure that mech is heated and engaged by another unit(s)

I think it is a finisher, not a first blood type mech. Also it could be useful for first turn artillery demolishing.
Now, that I think of it running both locusts in tandem could be very devious and punishing to an enemy mech. Course that is over 200 points of Locust's in my DF army. I would have to think about that one.

I imagine Shin is an envoy prize or something. What's-his-name, the Highlander Kodiak? He popped up on the WK site sometime last week, and he was reported some time before that. He'll probably show up as a prize sometime soon.
