Hi just wondering when the highlander kodiak is available to the general public? I like kodiaks just like i love mad cats .. hehe even though i never play with them but i see so many kodiaks floating around!

Anyone know?

The few that are out were given as BM prizes I think.

I am not certain when the Highlander Kodiak will become a prize for players, but I do know that there are several Battlemasters, my gf included, who got them in their rewards packs.

Best guess is for the May or June campaigns.

or perhaps not...There are still plenty of LEs that have never been available to the general public, except at cons or BM rewards. Namely, Kurt Larsen, Carmen Hern, Ion Murphy, Kryston Shon.

I am personally hoping that when Jade Falcon's come out, since they will come in thru the northern side of the Republic, that it will be a running battle with the SH units, so we can finally use them in campaigns.

highlander kodiak have only 4 Damage in Primary Attack.
and Secoundary Attack is 1 Click- Hand to Hand .
not the good weapon for 250pt Mech .

and it move very slow. Only 5"

I think it is the not the powerful mech.

That's because WK seems to take a certain sadistic delight in
screwing the Highlanders over, every chance they get. I'm
hoping that will change when Falcon's Prey is released but I'm
not holding my breath, either. :ermm:

As for the 5" movement, it IS an assault mech. That's the average
movement for assaults. ;)

Wrong, it gets delisted as soon as ebay becomes aware of it.

The one Kodiak that was on eBay was de-listed this afternoon. Whomever put it up can kiss his BM status goodbye.

Well they could have traded it off and then the person who got it decided to sell it....

That won't stop WK from yanking the BM from the program. They may not decide to do so, but they will find out who it was and they can yank his status.

I've got a HL Kodiak. Yes I got it from a trade with a BM. No I'm not saying who. NO, I'm not selling!

I've got the thing and it keeps it's HtH weapon for 1-6 damage for a LONG, LONG ways. Not one click, but MANY.

And yes, I'd love to field this thing, it might be the best Mech for the Highlanders, except for the speed.

I think the reason people are so down on the HL Kodiak is that they were expecting a spectacular mech with a 24 defense. They forget that HL just doesn't get spectacular or broken units.

What they did get was a decent, competent unit that can be used quite effectively. Is it top-tier, no, but it is solid, with good starting stats and an absolutely spectacular heat dial.

I know I'm certainly going to be using mine. *g*
