I can't guess how many total Wizkids has handed out (after the $75 product purchase) but there has been at least 50 listings on ebay so far. The price will drop soon enough.
well for that POC i would not spend even 40$ Its a falcons mech cool, but i bet if you wait till this fall you can get them for 30 or 20$ On e bay or easily in trade, it really is not impressive Heck it does not even need the 4 vent its useless because it only has 3 clicks befor shutdown! <_<
The scary thought is how many people are willing to pay that much for them, that's what I can't understand. Why would someone pay that much for some piece of carp like that. I hope it becomes a mail-away piece so everyone who doesn't have one can spend $5 for it, while the rest who paid $100 or more for it on ebay will become sick because of the price they paid.
No, the people that would spend 30-50 on a "common" tank (1 in 1 case average.....common....) are not the ones that spend 50+ on a worthless mech. Those that are spending on said common, are those that are building the current "competative" army. Those that are spending 50+ on a crud mech are collectors. HUGE difference, even if there are those that are one in the same.
$200 for a plane ticket (if living outside the U.S.)
$100 for a hotel room (1 day minimum)
$50 for some meals (unless packing your own, then approx $10)
$75 or more for product you may already have
$25-50 for transportation to/from airport and/or around town
Hmmm, let's see here that's over $400 bucks to get that one convention LE.
OR spend around $50-150 for a figure and not have to go through the mess of long lines, irritable people, etc. Sounds more cost effective to me. *shrug*
and no, I did not buy one on ebay, but I can easily see why someone would..

Thanfully for those of us who invested money in Trovic that wont happen. WK wouldn't dare (prolly cursing myself) make a con exclusive available as a mailaway because of the backlash of those who paid $75 for one at the cons.

You bought some of those common tanks didn't you?
Pfft, anyone willing to spend that much money on those tanks has enough money to blow on a worthless mech.
There are more competitive players who collect all pieces than I think you realize.

Correct me if i'm wrong but Gary Metcalf was a PRIZE (first nationals and later for a standard tourney) not a con exclusive. plus he was only an LE-4 so i don't think that comparison works.
lol...I bought one for $63.88 US. Its the only way I would get one, and that includes shipping.
Now to attend almost any con - it would cost me at LEAST $1500 AUD or more for the ticket, plus $300USD+ for accomodation and then what ever the ticket is for the Con and then the actual cost of Trovic, I do think its worth paying for it...but hey thats just me
