Well I was reading the Movie threads and it came to me that IMHO a movie just couldn't begin to cover the whole universe of history or characters. So I think WK should push for a better way to develop the milieu. Hence a tv series on say Sci fi or USA. It could be done and would stress the characters and stories better than only one movie.

What do you guys think?

I have 12 episodes of the T.V. Series on my computer, but it's Battletech and not MW.

I'm saying the T.V. Series already failed miserably due to the complexity of making a cartoon out of it. It would need to be something like star trek where it has a real cast and a crew that knows the fiction.

Star Trek(orginal, TNG, DS9) and Babylon 5 would be good examples to possible MW or CBT tv-series with little taken from Dune miniseries.

Hey Doc the Battletech is the MW series back in the good ol' 3050 + time era. the cartoons you speak of. (I wish they 'd release those on a nice DVD collection some day).

I agree with the TV idea.

And Babylon 5 is a great example. Byzantine plots, decent effects, characters that are not your typical stereotype (e.g. noble but disrespectful fighter jock, or captain-implacable)

Both ideas have been put forward. Origionally WizKids was going to do a TV series taking place between CBT and MWDA, but that idea was axed over a year ago. The movie, which was going to be directed or produced by the guy who made ID4 and Eight Legged Freaks never got out of pre-production.
