I thought the new article was interesting if you are into the novels as I am. I can't wait to read more from Reo ( hopefully) about what he might find out about Tucker. Anyone else interested in this like me??
However, I thought in the novel the new dropship design was a spheroid style, and the Aurora is and aerodyne. Is this some continuity problems, or does the Aurora have VTOL capabilities? I just leant my Target of Opportunity out today, so can someone double check that for me?
Yes but the original Fletcher when he left on the Exodus may have left family behind. I'm not writing this off like it may not be a clue but it's most likely just some random name the writer pulled out of a hat.
There are Hell's Horses living in the Republic; Fletcher could be one of them. For instance, Kara Fletcher hails from a CHH enclave within the Republic. Or another possibility is Kamala DeLaurel, Governor of Rigil Kentaurus.

Or it could be a reference to the planet Fletcher (Prefecture IV). Which, in fact, it is.
the dates are all ######ed. Evan seems to have come across a message from the future. all this confusion is so sad.
and on top of that, he's headed off to Styx in Prefecture V and acts like there's nothing big going on. Styx fell to the Capellans the previous year and aside from House Liao's presence, the Swordsworn have control over quite a few planets...according to the fiction. :ermm:
I guess in general the WK website stuff will be going by our RL dates, and the books have been in general a few months ahead and I think thats okay, but when they try to mesh the two it just doesnt work right.
I still havent finished reading all of Target of Opportunity, but the dates in that article made me wonder if Harwell optimized the HPG so well that it can actually transmit info back in time. :P
I guess you would have to ask him in tis Q&A thread, but I agree with John26; they are trying tos tick to rl time. You can also see this by the fact that travel from one planet to another seems to suddenly be doable in 2 or 3 days.
Not a big deal for me, I have rarely read the dates in the novels :)
