The 'Lyran Commonwealth' article on LinkNet has me a bit confused. At the outset of the article, it lists 'Tharkad City, Tharkad' as the capital of the Lyran Commonwealth, but then the article goes on to (seemingly) infer that New Marsdenville, Donegal is the capital.

So, which is it? Any input the community might have would be greatly appreciated.

Tharkad City is both the capital city of the planet Tharkad and also of the entire Lyran Commonwealth.

(Nitpick: The article doesn't infer that, by the way. It might imply it, but you infer it from the text.)

Yes, yes, I caught that grammatical error after the fact, but unfortunately, we are entirely unable to edit our posts here - it is perhaps my only gripe about these forums.

Thanks for the information. Why the LinkNet article chooses to go into exhaustive detail about Donegal instead of Tharkad is beyond me.

It appears that most of the articles talk about another world and not the capital world. Probably for the down to earth feel of a normal world that such a politically charged world as a capital world. Just a guess.
