From the team that brought you MKRealms & HCRealms, RealmWorx is proud to announce the launch of YuGiOhRealms.com. Over the next couple weeks, we will be putting in place the tools and features that make all the 'Realms' sites the leading online presence for their respective games. Draddog and I (RealmWorx, LLC owners) have a lot in store for this community, and are very excited to make this the best Yu-Gi-Oh! TCG site on the Internet. So please, if you have any comments, feedback, or suggestions... do let us know ([email protected]).
I don't think they are straining themselves - that have a good design that is really applicable to other, similar, worlds. The design is so adaptable (to set up) that it would be foolish not to do it and capitalize on their effort and intellectual capital. The effort would be the monitoring of the community, etc., of course, but that could be farmed to interested people with the expertise and interest, while these guys concentrate on the development of new bits'n'bobs to keep us happy :) and coming back.
Good luck with the new venture, guys. One small suggestion: it might be a good idea to have a "Passport" (like other sites that I shall not name) registration process so that one could transfer registration details from one realms site to another - when I registered for the HCRealms site I had to go through the process again. Twice is OK, but if I'm interested in lots of products, then it would be nice to transfer my registration using a passport of some sort.
Actually, not that I think of it ... central registration could be useful for PMs ... when I get a PM in one site, it might be nice to be able to centrally check for PM's across all Realms sites. I wouldn't want to have to write a program to check all of my control panels, or do it manually, when it might be possible to perform this action centrally.
MWRealms.. soon, very soon. We expect to start taking registrations in abotu a week or 2. :) Get people adapated to the new environment before things really start moving. :)
hey i tried to register on the yugiohrealms & it said click
on or before 05-27-1989 or after 05-27-1989. so i clicked on the
on or before 05-27-1989 because my parental controles are on mature teen & my birthday is 09-12-1986 so i am 15 & it said web restricted. how come i'm not able to get registered?
Pokemon was aimed more at the younger kids, and young kids dont hold any strong interest because they hop onto the next cool thing. Yu-Gi-Oh is aimed at the 16+ age range (its alot more grown up then Pokemon) and has alot more mature content, so is not considerd childish. Gets more adult people playing it (its like combination of MT:G and Pokemon)
There's a cartoon, too. It's not as *cute* as Pokemon, but has the same basic art style. I saw the first episode, and don't get it. The ccg seems to be doing well at the local gaming store. Anything that keeps the MK supplier in business, I hate seeing venues go away. Luckily, my kid isn't into it. I have to admit to catching an episode or two over coffee on Saturday mornings, though. I won't be on YuGiOh Realms, though.
