EGRADEster - I see you are new to the realms and all, but posts like that do no good for anyone. A little more explanation is needed.
If you do not like this army for whatever reason(s), you are entitled to your opinion, but please, by all means, explain the reasoning behind your opinion.
BTW, the army is very effective, well it was back in the days of only rebellion. I used to field an army exactly the same (and still haven't found a legitimate way to fill in those 2 points). Man those "broken" stormies used to go down quick! Haven't tried it in the new days of ML, bone toss, ram, swarm, and the new meta of today.
JOE makes a great point, if your going to take the time to reply to the thread then please put some thought into the reply and say why your saying No, otherwise its just spam which we frown upon.
As to the army, its solid but not spectacular. The trolls are good but lack defense and depth, while the Blade Golems are very good through their dial. Anything with Heavy Range like Solonavi or Bounders will give you trouble as they'll roast your range units first and then just pick off the golems over time.
I like the army but i think only 6 figs may just die too soon. I think you can get more out of 200 points but also it is a pretty good army. But if someone had a *** Amotep Gunner and maybe some ESA's or demis around it. That enhanced F/L might easily take out this army. But i can see how the "old-school" army can kill sometihng
It's a nice solid army, but it's split equally into ranged and melee figures. The two formations does not do a very good job of helping eachother either.
I suggest you put in Chargers like Light Lancers instead of Blade Golems. A healer that goes with the Trolls is not a bad idea either.
He said enhanced F/L, magewarrior. That would nullify the toughness and deal dmg to the formation. But again, if they can hit you, you most likely can hit them, so I don't see this as such a big problem.
here ill put my 2 cences worth in .... i think this army is a bit to straight forward and to the point. your troll arty formation will die quite fast 14 dfence will not help all though i like them i would back them up with a mending pristess. not oly can they heal but has 16 sharing d fence. when (or if)u take a **mending priestess and put her in (26) and lose a **troll arty(33) then you will have 7 points left... an imp will alow you to have a bit of blocking / capturing opertunity. this will destroy the whole idea behind this army but i think it will pay off.
theres a 200 point tourney im hopin to enter in so i cant make it 200. I wanted just to have fun with an old school army and if i win prove that the olden days can still compete with the new days of fling and ping and such.
again im going to have to say that ur army is going to get fried the trolls have a defence of about 14 and is to slow if u want it to b efective then put some healers and technomacers god wtf is ur problem
