Strategy:All of the figures cept the Shaman can move 10 or faster, all cept the shaman has a 10 attack or higher, no glassjawed figures, 2 chargers, 1 flier, 2 bounders, and 1 healer. All attackers have atleast 3 base damage. Can be a melle or range threat army.
This armys would be best at, IMO, takeing out loss figures and then attacking the meet of the army. But, I beleave it my become played more like this.
With this army you can weaken a formation or indivual figures then bring the ground troops(Cent. Lt. and the Reaper) to finish them off while the Drac, Scorp, and Shaman go get another figure or formation to weaken and then repeat.
The deep water will make it harder for them to move but easier for me to strike at them. The ideal place for the deep water is as close to their starting area as possible, so he is forced to split up his army or regroup on the other side, and while he is doing this hopefully I can get 1 or 2 attacks in on a stranded figure or 2.
Resticsion on figures:NO LE's(this includes heriocquests.), must be fast and able to strike hard. Must be able to move in 2 turns or less.
Maybe you should try out a **Shadow instead of a Centaur Lieutenant , Hawks (good to see you again).
An LI fig to bound around and cover up again is a nice trick.
I tried a 400 pointer using Amazon Drac and Bakus a couple of weeks ago. The pair worked like I thought it would, but I was disappointed with the rest of the army. It included some ml, some ram, MB, etc.
I ended up going undefeated losing only a mancatcher each round.
I really like the ability of two bounders to kill a figure in a single turn. This negates the usefulness of your opponent's healer while giving you a nice point advantage. But I think Amazon Drac will be somewhat outshined by the Bakus/Khumeret armies that proved so successful in Chicago recently.
One thing I think I'll add to the build is LI. I have no shadows yet, but did acquire marrow. I really like the LI/ Quickness combo, and I also view him as a harasser with some teeth.
Post back with some battle reports of your games to let us know how it's working.
I haven't really had a chance to play test it yet :(. I don't have one of the key figures yet...Amozan Drac and my venue hasn't run any 300 pointers since the last campaigns. I should have some Battle Reports after X-Mas since I should be getting an Amazon Drac then.
Nice to hear it works for you isabee, maybe I can have some battle reports in a little bit here.
Why would I want a Autumn?? 1.) this isn't a yo-yo, it needs to be able to hit a figure quick a yo-yo takes actions I could use to attack. 2.) A reglur healer makes me stay together and not as mobile. 3.) Shaman also has ME which is cruicle at times to get the 2 hit KO which this army stives for.
