I had posted this army once before and wanted to post it again to see the reaction now. Any thoughts?

First I would change both Iron clads to ** instead of ***. That frees up 4 points which I would use to change xandressean boarder with Wraith who is so much better.

I would recommend you put a chaos mage in that deathstar. The one two three punch of those attackers is very nice and insures at least one dead fig or a combined attack of 14 to nail high defence targets.

but what would you remove to put him in, every figure is essential and i really don't like the chaos mage, he is far to random throughout his dial and he just isn't strong enough.

i actually think it's pretty good as it is.

i definately prefer the *** ironclads over the **.

while i can think of a better use of the 57 points then the boarder, every army needs something to make it feel like yours. it's half the fun.

a long, long time ago, in the time before summoners, i used a simular army. and i did use a chaos mage. here is the deal, your army uses some great pieces, a sound and proven tatic, and is yours personally. personality is what i think gives an army class, and makes it fun. i used the chaos mage deathstar when i started out because i had more orcs than anything. however, if your more comfortable with the summoner, go for it. keep this in mind if you will though, summoner=76, chaos mage=45. also if used right and with a little studying, the chaos mage can be awsome using all of his different abilities. the funnest is when he is getting the #### kicked out of him, and you necro back some huge enforcer like a wraith or stormy or something. ive done it a few times. or when he beserks and you go hand to hand with a stormy and win! but these are my stories, im starting to rant now, sorry

anyway, only thing i would suggest is a try to find a way to put some harassment in, like shades or mancatchers. i suggest taking out the longstrike and downgrading to *shaman so you can use the points for 3 weak shades or a couple mancatchers. just my suggestion, take it or leave it.

on the harrassment front, you could downgrade both shaman to * and one ironclad to ** to add a * shade, or both shaman and both ironclads for a ** shad or a * mancatcher.

but all of those would put you at 299.

How about I replace snurga with a **launcher and downgrade **shaman to * and add in ***imp, not as quick as shade but serves his purpose, I wanna keep another ranged attacker and the ***shaman.

not too shabby, there. the only dowside, and the reason i didn't want to suggest dropping snurga, is the now 8 attack of the launcher... but it gives you something to do on your second turn.

i suggest ...
keep snurga ...
remove xandressan
replace with 2 more
iron clads? or a BORONX if you have ..
and replace summoner WITH chaos ...
cheaper and *FUN* hehehe
