i played a 500 pt tourny today and had a necropolis army planned, but after buying 3 boosters and getting amazon drac and vampric drac i decided id throw together a quick draconum army cause ive been wanting an amazon =)

i kept the eldritch in the middle giving the whole formation 19 defense. they moved up in formation , when they got in range started shooting stuff and vampric would push early to get to his better clicks and base their ranged. crystal would block and big ranged stuff or cover amazon after a bound. the robber was pretty useless as the games were 35min timed and the only times a drac died was toward the end.

so what do you think about it? scale 1-10

and as i stated before this army wasnt planned i made it like 5 min before we started =) got a LE 4 Spinesucker unique

there is a lot of 500 pts armys who can destroy it, but this army is good in the start, because draconuns take a long time to die, and just 35 mins, yourt army is pretty nice to "short games"

meybe with you leave some dracs and use another formotion of helpers, like chergers or swarms...

yeah i was thinking of dropping the demi maybe for some stalking skells or some kind of harrassers. but starting feb youre only gonna be allowed to play single faction armys, which kind of sucks since whelps suck..

whelps aren't that bad if you have some of them in a formation, especially in a conquest battle.

so is it just people at my store or is it just the general opinion that draconum are the cheese army? like i said i had no intention of playing ALL draconum but when i pulled the amazon and then the vampric (which also benefits my real army, necrop) i almost peed myself and had to use them. it was my first tourny ever but my years of warhammer knowledge gave me the tactical edge and i beat the regulars that usually win. they were so pissed when the judge called time and my pile had 1 drac, theirs had thunder/storm golems, etc lol.

also, if draconum are considered cheese, shouldnt solonavi be too. seeing as theyre just like draconum but even more scary

on a short timed game ... your army is formidable ...
and can make short work if everyone was on a hurry (short time makes most kinda hasty) ...
but, it could've used some good chargers ...

If this was a short timed tourney, you have a great chance of winning cuz Dracs are known for thier long "clicks" except for the AD. Most of them have 9-11 clicks of life so time limit can attribute to the winningness of this army.
