hey id just like to say good bye to mage knight it was fun going to tourneys talking about which armie is better debating what we would do to the guy who stole the solo titan but you know it gets kinda annoying when warlords dont know what the hell they are talking about. and lil kids cheating and they way things are going i dont think i wanna be a part of it. i might as well just sell my pieces and get a winter beater (car) (im 16) well i had fun you guys are the best i might check in to talk but not much bye:(
It seems that more than one poster talks about the good old days and your not the first to get (what do we call this now) frustrated/ burnt out/ stung by power creep... sometimes it seems that the game has lost a bit of it's fun for many.
The Rabbidgerbal honestly thinks things like that shiedl golem aren't helping. While they are well meaning trying to make more of your figures playable, they are making the figures going against them dealing with a 20-22 shared battle armor defense make the smaller figures even worse off.
The Frothing One is a bit discouraged but not ready to throw in the hat yet still thinking some randomizing senario rules are the savior to MK. Mage Knight will never die. It's got too mush stuff and too large a following. Perhaps in the distant future it might be reduced to a group of diehards... but it's going to be a huge group.
Of course the car thing you mentioned will open up a whole new world and a little bigger than plastic figures... maybe a little good and bad. With that hopping in and driving comes repairs and insurance, needing gas... traffic jams. If your not careful perhaps speeding tickets or even accidents. (sometimes perhaps accidents even when your trying to be careful)
Still everyone remembers their first car... a 1973 olds omega with a 350 v-8 and a four barrel in the Rabbidgerbal's case. With it's fair share of clothes line and duct tape holding it together. in spite of being covered in rust it truely was a beautiful thing, and the Rabbidgerbal remembered the deep sadness when he finally killed that wonderful old car... may it rest in peace.
If you get a car and keep your favorate army, perhaps you can find a new combic book store to play at... think positive!
