Well, here it is, with no more grave robbers I really had to overhaul this to give it the punch it used to have, and I MAY have done that, but we'll have to see, here's the two options I've been looking at:

Option One:
*Crusader Priest-35-my main necromancing piece

***Dark Crusader-29- a backup with revenant, not as effective but helps me take out summon engines at least.

Possessed Draconum-47

***Zombie Centaur-32 each

3x**Zombie Centaur-28 each

3x*Zomie Centaur-24 each

299 points

OR:

*Crusader Priest-35-my main necromancing piece

300 points exactly

The only problem with the second one is that I only have four *Zombie Centaurs, but that can very easily be dealt with through borrowing or trading or what have you.

The thing is, I think I'd rather have the possessed now with the limited amount of stuff to work with.

It's not as intimidating as it used to look, but I think I've covered my bases pretty well and it's still a fairly fast army(the possessed moves 10).

I don't know, it's not as good, but it's also not as vulnerable to other things as the old army(I even have an 8 inch range now with a 10 attack!).

So, what do you think?

I tried a similar army yesterday with
1 Rage Paladin***
1 Dark Crusader***
2 Zombie Centaurs***
3 Zombie Centaurs**
1 Blood Shaman**
1 Kossak Darkbringer + Blade of dominance

together for an army of 500pts

but unfortunatly my opponent played

1 Annunub with technomatic atractor
1 Khan Rava with Dragonstar
1 Kossak Darkbringer + Blade of dominance
1 Blood Shaman*

I didn't stand a chance.

Why are you worried about summon engines there are now only a handful of spawn worth summoning and even thn they are not all that great. So I would drop the dark crusader in both armies. Thne upgrade one or two to tough versions so that you can charge more.

Psycho, why'd you lose to that army? Nub with Techno Attractor??? You could jsut base him and kill him with your zombies..what happened??? or use your zombies to tie up his Kossak so you get first attack. You can tie up Khan Rava easily also...seems odd you lost...

I'll tell you how it lost - lack of effective range vs. Kossak/Blade of Dominance. While his opponent had Rava and Anunub who can easily hit Kossak with his -2 defense at range, his army had no effective counter to the same unique/relic combo.

but Rava and Nub get tied up easily, and anyway, Nub is :wand: and Kossak is :mi: so Nub is absolutely no threat, and easily handled by zombies centaurs. Rava could shoot one, before the rest base him. Rava based by a few zombies is dead meat

Well, there's a lot more than just a "handful" of available mage spawn, there's marrow, stalking skeletons, EVERYTHING from Dragon's Gate. Yeesh, with the feasting raptors alone I'm going to need to watch out for that.

werewolfs are cheap have a high attack and have stealth. use the grasslands domain and watch out.

I like the second version best, because it stick to the stampede principles. :D

i ran this army last week and won all 3 rounds.

it killed everyone. even took care of sydin with bonestaff, although that was a the hardest match. no one could out run them. took out Kahn harrowblade real easy.

Man, I'm proud the little army that could has really seemed to have taken off! I can't wait to see the dark rider Elemental Freehold equivalent to the Zombie Centaur, there better be one!

that's a lot of zombie centaurs. They are quite good for their points though.
But ever thought placing ranged units in your army.

I liked option 1 the most.
