If capturing is allowed I think you'll do alright, if not the empire vets dont seem that good to me. Also, the mortar altems aren't too reliable unless your facing a swarm army.
Not bad at all, do you plan on launching all 12 bombarment tokens in one turn? Or are you going to alternate turns between the two formations? 14 tokens. That's INSANE!
Anyway, gang-up's going to be atrociouse, and hopefully with the mass of bombardment your launching you'll cut your opponent down a bit before you have to fight. What comes to mind is an Orc swarm, which could trounce whatever AE resistance you put up, but with all the bombardment...
"Many empire veterans I see", said King Lunarion. "Lets crush them", and he sended his Elven Lords led by Kierin to battle to take revenge on those vile Atlanteans!
Anyways, I had a ball playing this army, though due to time Limit (store closing) I was only able to get through about 5 or 6 turns (it was a 3 person match). Having them all set up looked Beautiful compared to the disarray look of the other 2 mixed faction armies (we had to forego the 50% rule, a player did not have enough of any 1 faction). The mortars worked like a charm to channel units into the "safe zone" as compared to the "killing Zone", the latter being the one where the mortars could hit. Once channeled they would have been easy pickings for the rest, but alas time ran out before I could spring the trap. Maybe Next time......I might have to take some pictures of the army all set up to show you guys....it looked really awesome......GO STRAIGHT FACTION!!!
