I used to do the top 20 Elven Lords players on the Elven Lords forum. I stoppd because there wasn't a lot of interest shown by my fellow Elven Lords players. I was bored today, so I decided to put together a list of the top 10 players for each of the 8 available factions.

Remember, there are many things that go into making this list. First, playing a lot definitely helps. If you are an "undefeatable player," but only play twice a year, you won't make the list. Second, popularity of a faction does show. The more popular factions certainly have a better showing just because of the odds. Finally, each faction bottoms out at different levels. The Draconum's #10 player was #39 in the world, the Black Powder Revolutionaries' #10 player was #222.

Several top ranked players aren't on the list because they haven't picked a faction (indeed, the #1 ranked player hasn't picked a faction). Also, one oddity - Philliesfan, seems to have chosen all the factions so would be ranked in several factions at once, so I disqualified him from the list.

I'm still suprised I made it (and barely, the 1760 would only cut it with the BPR and EF).

This would make for one really sweet faction war. Imagine a tournie with all these people invited for a fight to the end. Maybe this would make the factions icon worth something...

Thats me, Number 9 for the AE. Nice list, I think this would make a neat monthly thing. Maybe even associate realms names with some of the players and such. Nice job!

Yeah, I have three players on the list.

My brother is #1 for the Elemental Freeholds. An occasional player of mine is the #3 player for the Orc Khans and I made the cut for Elven Lords. I've dropped a lot lately because I've been playing more "I want to use this figure" type armies. Once I broke 1800 I reached my goal.

If someone wants to volunteer to do it regularly, I'd be willing to stick it to an appropriate forum. However, it was a lot of boring work that I wouldn't want to do on a regular basis. Doing just the Elven Lords was a lot easier, because I just had to do a search on each page for the various ranks (Paladin, Martyr, etc.)

I admit, I'm suprised at how few MKRealms members I recognize from the list. I know a few people have different names at the sites, but I expected more familiar names.

This is a definate list of Ego+ 1 for me.

Alright, I am number 3 for the Elven Lords.

Most of my losses have come because I tried playing of playing nasty armies, since I was getting tired of winning without effort. Maybe I should just go for the gold?

I can't believe I'm still in the top 100 world rankings, it's just further proof that wizkids needs to do an annual wipe to clear away those who don't play a lot now but played a lot in the past. I'm not going to go look now, but I'm lucky if I get to play officially once a month now, and yet I'm still ranked 81 in the world.

Wizkids is always supposedly trying to bring in new players, but a semi-impenetrable ranking system, even one that doesn't mean anything like this one, is definitely not all that inviting to new players.

On a sidenote, those with more venues around them and thus more players are way more likely to have a higher overall ranking. If you beat the same 5-8 people every week each victory you acheive means less and less. I got my good ranking by going to 3 different venues fairly regularly for a good 3-4 months when they wiped it last year and right after 2.0 came out.

Thanks WK's for keeping me in the top 100, but I really don't need the ego boost personally.

It does not help my rating that I am the regular opponent of one of the top rated players in the world thus lose more often than not to him.
As I have found out at Gen Con Indy (my only time I play outside my venue) I am really not quite as bad as my rating indicate .
This may change soon as I have had a schedule change recently and should be able to make it to other venues

I have a question. On my thing i glitched it( signed up for 6 factions). That made me not get on the list. But how did you find out this info. It is very interesting. Oh and can you show a top 50 list(this is just so I can see my name. I like my 1824 constructed rating). Oh and you can see the top players in the world. Oh and i am Philliesman.

Just go to the WizKids site and look under players for "Hall of Heroes." Choose, under campaign, the "Mage Knight XX/XX/XX to present" listing.

I'm not on the AE list yet, but hopefully be there soon. Just wanted to also point out that I regularly play Blood_Angel_606 and RobertFSF. DBlizzard, if you plan on updating this, I think that you should include those who chose not to represent a faction. In their own little, "no faction" faction block.
