I run an ongoing campaign and thought I'd throw a little dungeons into the mix. Check out this scenerio and let me know if you like it and if I've over looked something.
Welcome to Deathspeaker Werebob's battle arena
Dead in the heart of NEC country captured warriors from across the land are forced to battle it out to survive. Today's match is foir the ultimate prize - freedom. The surviving members of the winning team will earn their freedom and safe passage to the edge of NEC controlled territory.
Setup:
The players are shown the figure pool. All pool figures must cost 30 points or less and must have an attack of 9 or lower.
The players roll off to see who goes first and picks a single figure from the pool. Picking continues till each player has a 100 heroic team.
Lay out the dungeon like this (Or close to it if you're using cardboard tiles) :
The dark gray squares with the yellow dots are the warrior pits. (First player gets their pick of starting locations)
The green squares are the 3 artifacts I'm using. The red squares are Mage Spawn spawning locations to be explained later.
Gameplay:
The game starts off with the large black dividers in place to separate the 2 sides. The idea here is to speed up gameplay with a large group as the 2 side arenas fight independantly till either 1) a player in one of the arenas has defeated all the other players in his arena or 2) a predetermined amount of time has elasped. If either of these cases are met the the large black divide walls are removed and everyone plays together.
The red revenge squares:
As an added little twist once the divider walls fall it's time for a little revenge. On an eliminated player's turn that player can roll a D6. On a result of 6 that player places a WMT token on one of the red squares and activates it. That player chooses from the wimpy MS pool and controls the creatures that spawn
Gameplay continues till either 1) only a single warrior remains or 2) time runs out and the winner is declared on points killed.
The Draft Figure List (<= 30 points , <10 attack, only *)
