I stumbled on an Nexus ad in the latest issue of Game Trade Magazine. Nothing really new, but I thought some would like to see it.
The text (which is difficult to read in this version of the scan) mentions fighting off the Apocalypse Dragon and its minions. They also mention the Marquee is September 9-11, 2005.
A lot of Rocketmen information, although most is on the WizKids site now. Just a little bit more information on the secret decoder rings.
"Harness the experience of battle-hardened warriors to build the ultimate Mage Knight army. Fight off the Apocalypse cult and their powerful five-headed dragon, as they try to end existence itself! The Mage Knight:Nexus set brings favorite game pieces from past expansions into the present, with new stats, paint schemes, and names. Each of the 144 warriors is capable of wielding powerful relics, items, and spellbooks. The future of the Land is at stake!"
Then the little insert at the bottom left about Wizkids Approved Play says:
"Register as a Mage Knight player to be eligible for cool player rewards and to play in WizKids Approved Play events-including the Mage Knight:Nexus Marquee, held worldwide September 9-11, 2005!"
I found it interesting that the new figures are going to have new names.
supposedly everthing is equally rare, I think. And for those who don't know already, two things:
1. EVERY figure is slotted
2. There is only one version of each fig. A standard or a unique, depending on the particular figure. (I like this better, means that you can convert more pieces over, which is really what we all want)
Originally posted by Uberman Is this news or did I miss somethign regarding the fact that, according to this, ALL 144 figures in the set will be slotted?
Yup, you missed it. That was in the PR, when Nexus was announced. :D
Yes they were all sloted, yes there are 50 'uniques' the rest are stanards nons only. However the uniques are only uniques in the sence that only one can be on the battle field, all figures in this set are equal rarity whether they are designated as standards or uniques. Dues to this it has already been speculated that the standard figures may be worht more than the uniques are, as they can be fielded in mulitples and are equally as hard/ easy to pull. The idea is that one case (luck and distribution aside) should net you an entire set or allow to to trade to complete a set.
