I just posted my results for faction war on the MK site and also posted a response on the thread about it:

It has been a month or more since the faction war has been posted to be run at our area stores in South Bend. We waited for a while for some kind of indicator on what the rules for the faction war...the only terms posted were:

You've always known it, now it's time to prove your faction is the strongest!

Show everyone with your best stuff, and fight for honor, clan, and country.

So...two days before we ran the event some rules from Wizkids finally comes to life.

Fortunately or is it unfortunately only one player showed up to play MK. We did have 4 for Pirates.

It is discouraging to the players and the envoy that the faction war was finalized two days before the event.

Sadly, the Griffon is down to one MK event per month, not even trying to run campaign or storyline events.

I am almost done...but hope that something will save MK.

Yea, I am a little dissappointed on the lack of effort by Wizkids to produce a quality game. They really have something going here, now if they would just try a little harder. I mean, it really gets me flustered when they can't even get the dials right on big pieces such as the Apocalypse Dragon.

and yet we can't get angry even though it's our money paying for these pieces. It's called flaming.

Well, flaming is very different. I'm just stating that I'm not too thrilled with Wizkids' quality lately. I still support Wizkids 99% of the time.

Thats the reason why I don't care at all now that I am going to miss both Faction Wars that are near me. Compared to the last Faction Wars the prizes are lame. Wizkids waited forever to let us know the rules for it. I like to start planning armies week(s) in advance. Not two days.

Even though I had been looking forward to this event for months, Wizkids stole all the sparkly coolness of this event and made it seem just like some Unrestricted thing that they don't even care about.

LOL NO one play faction wars In ontario CAN. Every one play the rampage senerio insted..but not even the dial on the Karlis for this event was printed right.> i guess wizkids does'nt believe on fixing their mistakes. Some one told me that their was a post about all the negative reaction from people since 2.0 came out... :confused: maybe if they didn't kill the game..but I'm hopeing that the next faction war is allot better.
Don't think that is a good idea to give out AC that are in a regular booster.. unless it's cost is less or better discount.

Managed to get 4 people to play faction wars which is not even as good as a SL event. People were playing to support the store.

I just don't understand what Wizkids is thinking.

- they know no one likes the 'LEs' of common booster cards and have known for quite some time. Why didn't they bite the bullet when they realised they made a mistake (4 months ago), phone China and have 2000 new 'unique' cards sent ASAP?

They could have reprinted some of old uber relics like BOL and Mask of Mysteries with a black border and an approved play logo if they were in a pinch for time. Anything would be better than common spells and AC cards.

- going into the faction war, if you know that people hate the prizes and it's likely gonna be a flop, drop the sealed aspect to it. The venues sat almost empty here - you're not selling boosters either way but at least people are playing the faction war if it isn't sealed.

Ran 2 faction wars and 1 person showed at both of the events. How sad. IMHO, WK needs to scrap 2.0 and go staight to 3.0 with new victory conditions. The relics and spells are a good idea, but the infinite interaction possibilities is making the game too complex for most new players to grasp. With hardly any new players getting in, this game is going in the way of Creepy Freaks, Shadow Run and Crimson Skies.

This was supposed to be a big event to promote the game. but if WK won't care about it, why do they think the players will?

Haha, I have all the Relics and even I can't wait till those are retired, why would we ever want those around for another 4 expansions!? LOL

Being they would have the same card number as the orignal they'd retire when the orginal did. Maybe I'm wrong but I don't think there's a set indication on any of the cards.

So .... IF they're crazy enough to attempt another round of retirement they're going to have to list card numbers to retire things anyway. It's the only way to tell which blue domain, brown spell or red relic was released with each set.

I do not know why anyone is surprised honestly. This is how things have been for a while now. Two steps forward and three steps back. Everytime you think they learn from their mistakes or are on the right track something like this happens.

There was a large amounts of threads when 2.0 came out about mistakes. Then retirement and threads came up again. One of the differences it appears right now is that in the past there would be a number of people on this threads talking about how much of a smashing success things were.

Maybe someday or sometime WK will get it together. They have shown many times that they just do not seem to understand their own games or the players. If they want things to improve then they must cut down on things like this and start owning up to their mistakes.

I'm surprised this thread has been swept under.... ummm, I mean moved to the "Dear WK" section yet. :p
