Can you pump up a RS with Shield TA if:

A) THe Shield unit is carried there by the RS fig or


B) The Shield figure is already adjacent to the square the RS
figure will be located in after moving half movement?


I actually am in the A) Yes and B) No.

A) THe SHIELD unit declares the pump first before the RS action, it's token is added and it is then carried the half movement and fires. I see this as the same as declaring SHIELD on an RCE Power action. SHIELD fig is carried after it does it's TA. Not before.

B) I see this as No....because the Shield agent can only declare the Shield TA Pump after the RS figure gets there and that would be in the middle of an action and that is a no, no.

It's possible both are valid or neither, it's a toss up on timing to the SHIELD TA.

Any help?

The SHIELD TA is used at the time of the attack. It is a special exception to the 'no action during another action' rule. As it is still an action, it cannot be used after being carried. So it cannot be used while being carried during a RS. Also, since it is used at the time of the attack, you can run adjacent to the SHIELD member and have them pump the attack.

so the answers are: A)No. B)Yes.
