So I was trying to play with a french fleet and I ran into a problem. My ships will get into a firing exchange with other ships and all of a sudden their flags turn white and the cannons stop firing, moments later I find myself loosing the game and unable to make my ships act. Anyone else having this problem?

Err... sorry, but what game are you refering to? This doesn't sound like the Priates of the Spanish Main Constructable Strategy Game that I know of.

Neither do I, but given my German heritage and leanings, I love taking pot shots whenever I can :)
