Anyone check out the Virtual booster they put up. I gotta say that Noble Dragon is really nice sculpt. all the pieces look so awesome. hopefully i'll have money to get a few packs when it comes out.
slug has had pics of the dragon for some time now. It's slightly disappointing that our new figure in the pack was a semi-good regenerator as opposed to a new mechanice, or another location.
yea thats true. I think the total of the figures that have been spoiled is somewhere around 40 leaving 56 left that we do not know about. we got about 2 months left till its release so hopefully we'll see new figures with different abilities.
this past wed. I played the owner of my local shop in the game. Everyone from the D&D minis group was watching and loving the game. The owner said that the game is really awesome. he won the first 3 turns, but ended up lsoing the whole game to me. it took about 1 hour to play because of explaining, people asking questions, and he was running the register.
while playing that game does bring up some questions that the rules were not exact on.
lets say 1st players turn a few the 2nd players creatures get disrupted. the 2nd player goes and decides to shift can those creatures move even though they got disrupted.
My thought was yes but the store owner thought no.
Just wanting to know what this dreamblade game is like ? is like mageknight or D&D minis and when is this game available?
I was talking to the owner of one of the local game stores today. He played a full game for the first time today and described it as "Magic the Gathering as a miniatures game." I haven't tried it out yet to compare.
I have. Downloaded the virtual starter, booster, and map and my wife and I played a small (4pcs each) game.
The only thing missing to make it feel more like Magic are the spell cards and enchantments.
It's really fun. Has a much more tactical feel than other minis games. I wasn't going to get involved, but I think we'll likely end up getting a starter and a couple boosters at the very least.
The only obstacle I see for DreamBlade is the subject matter. The whole "DreamScape" thing. It may be too abstract for some people. Basing it on your standard fantasy or scifi scenario might have been a better idea. But then it wouldn't stand out as much, would it?

No, the "biggest" obstacle is the figure sizes. If they had gone with a more normal 25 mm-30 mm then roleplayers and wargamers would be more likely to use the figures. With their actual size, they'll only see play when used as very large figures.
I didn't think they were going to be any bigger than a Mage Knight figure. Does that mean they're going to be about Mech (as in MechWarrior) size?
Just curious.
The figures are 40 mm (compared to the 28 mm minatures standard). If you seen D&D miniatures, they are about the size of the large figures like the ogres and smaller giants (large figures, not the huge figures).
