Okay, I admit I have been in hermit from Mk for so long.. living in a box if you like.
I remember this place in the days of 2001, when Rebellion Alpha was out, only just before the Beta release and Lancer was around the corner. Man i feel really old.
I still have so many uniques and figures. Although I kinda distanced away from MK after someone ripped me off on a big deal (whether he never send the figures or the post office lost it remains a mystery to this day) it was a big purchase: 3 full sets and several figures and a titan. Meh
Anyway that rant aside.
I have few questions:
WHAT THE HELL HAPPENED??
to:
MKRealms. No longer indepedent forum.... most forums /posts gone.
Mage Knight classics (pre-2.0). Am I correct to confirm that MKClassics are no longer playable, etc?
Mage Knight itself. I read that Nexus is the last set, and MK is finished? something about Wizkids releasing a new series under new rules/RPG thingy?
A summary of history would be appericated. I was here from Rebellion until Unlimited and started to falter away. (Only noticed the new releases of Minions, Sinisters , Uprising being my last purchase and did really pay any attention to 2.0 series)
A lot of realms got merged. Realmworx wanted to be more effecient, and having the "smaller" boards all together would do this.
Everything is still playable. Nothing stopping you from playing. :D All 1.0 figures are playable in 2.0 rules, but they're effectiveness might not be there. Best to stick to the 1.0 rules for them.
Mage Knight the CMG is officially dead, they announced it before Nexus. There is an RPG system in the works from Great White Games, and talk of bringing back MK "In a few years," but that doesn't look so good anymore. There is also some video games being developed based on MK.
Also, Kevin Goddard (Draddog) used to work for WizKids, first in a web position than as a brand manager. WizKids just a few days ago had a layoff, and he was one of the people let go.
