Silent. Invisible. Lethal. We continue our series of Predator previews with the POLE-ARM PREDATOR. Among all of the Predators this particular piece can truly be considered a true Alien-Killer. A rare power among the Predators, Pole-Arm’s Stamina on the flip-side of his Monster Card allows him to ignore 1 point of damage dealt to him, effectively negating the devastating Acid Blood power of the Aliens. His 6 clicks of life and relatively high damage that never dips below 3 also make him a threat.
This Predator, like most of his brothers-in-arms, weighs in at an economical 65 points. He starts with the powers Leap/Climb, Cloak, and Vivisect. When using him, however, I would start on the reverse side of his Monster Card, where he trades Cloak for Stamina. Let him take a victim early, become blooded and Frenzy in with his Vivisect power, allowing him, on a successful attack, to replace his damage number with the result of a d6 roll. As mentioned before, if you are facing any Aliens his Stamina will absorb that Acid damage once he connects with an attack and his 17 defense will protect him in close combat.
Pole-Arm is also quite interesting in that he is the only Predator besides the Apprentice that does not have a ranged attack, so be sure to back him up with more snipe-happy figures like the Assassin Predator or an Experienced Field Agent from the first HorrorClix set to can give him cover fire. The Predators overall may be the most powerful figures in HorrorClix right now the Pole-Arm Predator is just another example of their all-around effectiveness.

I like it ... awesome fig ... this set rocks ... the poor cloaking pred pales in comparison, but oh well
It will be a lot of fun to see the alien v pred scenarios ... Right now, I am betting on the preds although we don't know what the alien/pred will be like in the queen set.
One thing I don't understand with this figure is that it has no ranged. In AVP the Pole Arm Predator throws the Pole Arm, because that's what it's used for. I think they messed that up, but the rest of it sounds good.
Anyone else feel the same way? Give a ranged weapon wielding Predator no range?
