Hello everyone this is an army that myself and a friend sat and cooked up for an upcoming 750pt game I was hoping to get some opinions on it and some feedback. Thanks in advance!
"Bartlby" W/ "Prioritize" Margret Yager and Med IT
Davion Vixen with one of the twins and Pulse
Davion Havok with LE Mila Mazur and Scout Retrofit
SS J-37 Ordinace transport
SS Sniper
Dav Ravager Battle armor x3
SS Sortek Assault craft x2
Davion/SS Faction Pride F-012 (reroll a die on ranged combat attack)
Total 750pts
The idea here is to use the Sniper to keep people out of an area that I want my J-37 and Ravagers to get into (Ravagers in the transport.), with the Sortek's playing escort. As well as provide fire support.
Then use Bartlby and the Havok to lock down my enemy's firing options. Have the Havok base something. Then have bartlby base something else. With the Vixen there to do what it does best, hand out (maybe) 6 clicks and some heat to an unsuspecting mech or tank that is worrying about the other two.
The faction pride is there because I am infamous for not being able to hit 11's or 12's when I need to but rolling 16's when I need an 8.
Let me know what you all think!
(Edited for my lousy gramar, okay so it's probably still not great.)
Maybe I'm missing something. At any rate, I like the idea of using three mechs this way.
By spending only two more points, you can replace Bartleby with the 5-Dam Enforcer (from the House Davion pack) with Duke Aaron and Improved Targeting. This would mean trading the 21Def+Evade for 22Def+Reactive Armor, but it'd wind up with a little better damage-dealing capability down the whole dial. Plus, the Duke's more Davion-y, if that's a factor :)
Instead of using a twin, try using Chris Chapman (one of the light pilots from the new set). He plays for Davion for free, so he's four points cheaper and brings an extra point of Speed. If he's available, that is.
It would be sweet to use Recon and Evade at the same time, but if you need to save 16 points you can trade out the Scout Retrofit for plain old Evade. Boring, but cheaper.
If you can scrounge up 14 more points, swap out the Sniper for the Paladin Arty System. It's got a little deeper dial, with 2damage all the way down, and (most importantly) two tokens per shot instead of one. If the Paladin is available, it's worth it.
Yes Islander, you are right that army is way over 750. Thats what I get for using one of those little solar calculators after using my TI-89 for so long (over kill I know.)
Part of the reason I wanted to use Bartleby was not for her damage, but for the "Prioritize" ability.
Alrighty I can drop the Sorteks as they were an after thought anyway, but that leaves me 9 points down.

2 possible suggestions:
#1: Replace The HD ravagers w/ SS kage BA. that substitution should give you an additional 12 points to play with. If you manage to free 3 poits you can get a Shmash and try for VC 3s.
#2: Replace Mila w/ Graves. That way you're down only 2 points instead of 9. You have a better attack value but slower
Great choice going with Pulse on the Vixen. With the on-dial IT and a great RAO range, it is a great unit to deal significant damage either as a first strike or as a finishing blow.
Both Bagh and Islander offer good advice. To that I would also suggest swapping out the ravagers for either a trio of SS Towed Gauss Rifles (TGRs) or a trio of HD LRM Batteries. The former offers a formation that is hitting for 3 damage with 11AV w/IT while the latter trades overall damage and IT for extra range, ArP SE and limited mobility. Personally I would go with the TGRs as they can really give your opponent a headache that he can't ignore and once dropped you will likely want to shoot with them rather than move them.
You might also consider dropping the Sorteks for a Balac VTOL (if available). Balacs are TONS of fun to play and are great at cleaning up those units that have been damaged, but need to be finished off.
My problem would be deploying an arty without bodyguard, a few atvs can make your
Sniper/Paladin much less useful and you'll burn order to get ride off them, two of your mech are more energy platforms, whail your drop has other targets. I tend to field
some JJ, flamer infantry to protect arty, at least 2 of them- so i can move without getting damage.
