Those of you who are participating in our online tournament have until tomorrow at Noon, Eastern Time to make contact with your opponent if you have not already done so.
Please PM me with any questions or if you have been unsuccessful in attempting to make contact with your opponent by this time.
Originally posted by aggiespy ...if we set a time with our opponent & they "no show"? Do they lose by default or simply reschedule?
Also, what is a good rule of thumb for this tourney on how long to wait?
If your opponent is a "no show" for a scheduled time, you should attempt to reschedule for another time before the period for that round is up. If they still don't show, then you should contact me to file a grievance as per the tournament rules. Once a grievance is filed I will check into it, and I would be asking for e-mails/PMs of contact attempts.
I did show up at 8:30 The scheduled time I waited till 9:00 for him to show up I tryed to contact him on AIM 10 times I wasent a No show
Now that I got that off my sholders what if we are in different time zones and cannot make scheduled Fights what do we do then.?
I don't accept that different timezones argument. There are lots of hours in the day, and everyone that signed up for the tournament knew they would be playing people from all over the world. Not to mention the fact that you guys are only have a 1 hour difference.
This is why we allowed 5 days, including 2 days on the weekend for the matches. The round dates were announced along with the signup. There are no suprises here.
If you can't fit a match into your schedule then why did you sign up for the tournament?
You should keep trying until the tournament deadline is up. Make sure you take the time difference into account when scheduling your match! My guess is that is the cause of this misunderstanding. 8:30 for aggiespy is 9:30 for you.
