Evasion.
Speed Demon cannot be equipped.
Pay 1 endurance --> Ready Speed Demon. He cannot attack this turn. Use this power only once per turn.

If the opponent doesn't lay down a first turn drop, just throw a Mega Blast on the Speed Demon and hit the guy for TEN on the FIRST TURN. If you have both Mega-Blast and Flying Kick you hit the guy for SIXTEEN.
Even later on in the game he will still be there since his 1 endurance evasion and at anytime there is a direct attack he does insane amounts of damage. If you have Hammerhead out he does an additional Four!

Also, if you use four Mega-Blasts and 1 Flying Kick you will deal 40 damage to him.
Speed Demon's still pretty sick on turn 2 with Mega-Blast/Flying Kick/Ock's Lab/Lion's Den and Team Tactics. Pay 1 Endurance to double my ATK? Yes please. :)
I think he's going to be a lot more useful than some people realize, especially with the abundance of Syndicate cards that have "exhaust a Syndicate character you control" as an additional cost.
What people don't realize I think is that Speed Demon + pumps (lions den, doc ocks lab, flying kick, mega blast, savage beatdown, no fear, need I go on?) + team tactics = massive damage. He can ready himself mid attack, play team tactics targeting himself both times and thus double his attack. Even with just lions den and team tactics, that makes him a 10 ATK.
You would get the same effect from Vulture without the Team Tactics.
No, actually, you wouldn't. By the same effect you are referring to the difference in endurance. The main thing that I see in Speed Demon is not only being able to hit for big endurance, but being able to take out your 7 drop with my 1 drop, that is a big effect the vulture cannot accomplish.
So...how exactly would you deal all this damage to your opponent? I realize there's his ability, but it's just like Xavier's School and Cosmic Radiation...you CANNOT attack after he has been readied. Even if you had 4 Mega Blasts in your hand, that comes up to 17 damage for one turn...sure, that's a good amount, but it isn't 40 and it's only under the right circumstances. Anyways...just my say on things.
