Is it possible to negate the effect of Purple Man by stunning him in response to his activation? Using Robot Destroyer for instance. Just a little sketchy on how that resolves on the chain.

I think this is how it goes but i could be wrong. Ok so you activate Purple man, you already paid for the activation by exhausting it. So the effect goes on the chain. you could in response stun purple man but the effect still goes through.

Stunning Purple Man will not negate the effect of Purple Man.

Once on the chain, an effect is independent of its source so stunning Purple Man won't help.

Think of it this way: taking out the shooter once the bullet has left the chamber isn't going to stop that bullet.

The easiest way to negate the effect is to flip up the targeted resource.

Can you flip it even if it is out of sequence.... For instance I activate PM on your face down Sav. Beat. and you're are defending this turn can you just flip face to make certain that I don't get it and if so would you have to discard for Have a Blast if there wasn't anything for you target.

Savage Beatdown gives the target attacker +5 ATK.

So if you're not attacking, you can't flip it.

Purple Man's power is very strategic.

It ought to play very well against Doom and Spider-Friends.

If you are not able to legally play the card, you are not allowed to flip it.

Have a blast requires a target. Savage requires a target attacker.

If they unluckily target a location that simply hasn't been activated yet and you meet the cards threshhold cost then you could actiate it to negate his effect also right...

It doesn't even need to be activated; just flipped up.

To really abuse Purple Man, throw in some Reconnaissance. Steal what you want, with no randomness. :)

What if u target a resource ur opponent controls with Purple man and they CAN activate it for example: An ongoing plot Twist like total anarchy. Technically it cant be the target since it isnt face down, so would u still need to KO a resource u control with purple man or would his effect just be negated.

You cannot target any face-up resource with Purple Man's power.

If it's face-up when the effect attemtps to resolve, the effect is negated.

Since KO'ing one of your own resources is part of the effect, you do not lose a resource.

In short, there's no way to screw yourself out of a resource with Purple Man's power.
