That's right baby, it's an all Team Realmworx final!
Finals Match:
En-Kur vs. VS_Master
Curve Sentinels vs. Teen Titans!
typhon update from the floor 1:30CST
Game 1: VS_Master wins
En-Kur missed Bastion, and was Overloaded early ... it was pretty much over before it started getting good.
Game 2: VS_Master multiple TTG seals the game.
Wizard World: Texas $10K Winner:
Robert "VS_Master" Leander
Back at home now, easy for me since the event was in my home state... Just some quick notes and highlights to point out for you guys about the event:
-En-Kur and I will do a full report on the Sentinel deck plus event highlights on Friday. Don't miss it.
-TNB is back in force and is strong in the 1GM format. My three losses were all to TNB and Medium Brotherhood builds.
-Andrew Yip Top 8'd with a deck he built from scratch Saturday morning. Un-freaking-real. I think most of us are a bit glad he'll be wearing UDE employee badge at So Cal!
-After the Top 8, Team Realmworx(+Yip our honorary member) walked away with over 1/2 the 10K prize money. Realms members baka_master, BigSpooky and darkspider42 raise that number to over 64%. I'm sure there were other Realms members in the Top 20, we'll know as soon as the results are on the ratings page. Off the top of my head I'd put the number at somewhere around 80%. Who says there are no serious players here? We can be casual and competitive and still have a great time!
-I shot video of the finals match between Rob and Dave. Look for that to be posted sometime this week after I finish editing.
Oh well, in the end, it doesn't matter who wins these tournaments. What matters is how many Superman cards are accidentally flashed on the monitors adorning the hall before Upper Deck shuts them down.
I'm sorry but I have to root for En-kur. I really like seeing original decks and Curve Sentinels is as original as it gets. Go Sentinels but I won't be dissapointed if Vsmaster wins as long as Team Realmworks wins.
Well, I'm kind of suprised at UDE... the metagame article put a negative spin for our friend VSMaster in their earlier feature match on him... I mean aparently they think he "sneers."
Yeah...America.....apparently some of these "Team RealmWorx" members are in a remote location with a code name of "Texas" and in a sector of a secret underground base code named "Dallas", interesting.
Edit: Noooooo!!! En-Kur lost. Looks like VS_Master is the one walking out of the remote location code named "Texas" with 10k.
