i have 5 xmen in play. i proceed to drop scarlet witch 2 drop. when she hits the table, can i team them up then bounce her back to my hand for the burn effect?

my surfer goes on the chain, then my opponeents surfer. right? shouldnt he discard 1st and then i get to counter it with my discard? or do we both have to discard? and by me not discarding 1st, does that not give me the chance to discard after he discards? wtf?

Scarlet Witch may be used in this way. Her text is not dependant upon controlling Brotherhood characters and will only check the number of Brotherhood characters until the resolution of her effect.

Each Silver Surfer effect will go on the chain. If you had initiative this turn, yours would go on the chain first, followed by your opponent. Your opponent's Silver Surfer effect will resolve first, meaning he/she would need to discard if he/she wishes to take the initiative. Following this resolution, your Silver Surfer's effect will resolve. Again, you have the choice of discarding or not. If your opponent did not discard, then there would be little point to you doing it, but you may. If your opponent did discard, you will 'steal' the initiative back by your discard, if able.
