Because YOU demanded it (yes YOU), I've decided to boldly forge ahead and create my list of the top Vs. 6 drops (DC ONLY!!!).
I'll admit, after much soul-searching, that my last list was indeed flawed. I didn't truly realize the power of escrima sticks until you loyal readers pointed it out. I'll try to succeed with this list.
10- Manhunter Lantern. 4 Willpower?!?! I can't stress the power of...WILLpower enough!!! Plus, what a great concept. A Manhunter...with the ring of his arch-nemesis! Wow! That's like Lex Luthor wearing a red cape or The Joker wearing pointed ears! Just wow!
9- Brother Blood. As you've all seen in the Teen Titans cartoon, this guy can take down the whole team by himself!
At 11/11 his stats are a tad bit low, but that can easily be remedied with escrima sticks! And the ability to KO some guy if the opponent can't discard...works great against decks like Kang that always have an emtpy hand.
Forget the boost by the way. I think it's a useless mechanic. Why would I want to wait to play this guy one turn when I could play him NOW! He's just that good.
8- Steppenwolf. I love boost! I mean, wait ONE turn and this guy gives your Elite Gods +2 attack! It's like a mini Savage Beatdown!! One of my favorite tricks that you guys should be aware of is waiting until turn 8 to drop this big fella, that way your Elite Gods character Kalibak can have +2 attack, making him the biggest 7 drop you've ever seen!
7- Boodikka. Hehehe. I really just like her because her name sounds dirty!!!   If there was some way to boost her willpower to an even higher number she'd be even better though! I can't really find one, though, so she's kind of useless. Great name though.
6- Dr. Light. This guy is just a crazy. Crazy. Where I play, our games continuously go to turn 14-15, unless I'm playing my mono-Fearsome Five deck. You don't know how many times I've beaten an opponent by surprising them on turn 9 with this guy and beating the snot out of them with my Charger!! Which leads into my number 5 pick...
5- Conduit+Wheel of Plagues+Supercycle+Braniac's Ship. I'm sorry for making my number 5 such a commonly used combo. I guess this one doesn't really need any explanation, since I've seen many a tier 1 deck using this combo to great effect!!! (Can anyone guess what the best Vs. set ever is!?) By the way, just remember to have Conduit teamed up with Revenge Squad/LoA/New Darkseid's to really kick things up a notch!
4- Evil Star. What, is this guy like Starro the Conqueror's dorky cousin? Anyway, this guy is great for getting rid of those annoying characters that just won't leave during the game. I mean, have an extra Alfred, Boris, or Jarvis sitting around you haven't used yet?! KO 'em! I mean, you could even KO your 5 drop to this guy, unless he's equipped with escrima sticks. Why isn't that thing transferrable?
3- Supermanhunter. Clever name!!! Why isn't this guy a rare? People are talking about Scarecrow like he's the end all be all Vs. card. I've got news for you, bubs. Supermanhunter has been eating Nimrod alive since he was printed. He should've been called Nimrodhunter. Hah! I should write for DC! I mean, imagine if your opponent throws out 6 Wild Sentinels on turn six. For only 18 endurance you can remove those pesky counters and then swing in for the kill! What's 36% of your life really matter on turn 6 anyway?
2- Wolverine. Okay, I know this guy isn't really a 6 drop, and he's not DC either, but I want to use this post as a personal platform - WE NEED MORE WOLVERINES. I mean, this guy is so underused both in Vs. and in the Comics. When was the last time you saw Wolverine in a major story arc over in Marvel? They always give the leading roles to people like U.S. Agent and Beta Ray Bill, when our pal Jimmy H. has to sit on the sidelines! Well no more!!! We need to see more of this guy!
1- Legion. Simply put, this guy is the best 6 drop in the game period. This guy isn't simply a beatstick, he's a finesse card. The best way to use him is to save up your plot twists all game and end it all on one turn. I know it's tempting to use that Savage Beatdown or Mega Blast early, but wait!!! I mean, there's nothing better than using 4 Beatdowns, 4 Mega Blasts, and equipping this guy with an escrima stick to really kick your opponent's Doc Spectrum's teeth in.
This guy is like a plot-twist magnet. I can think of about 100 plot twists I'd love to use with this guy. This guy even has his own team named after him, the Legion of Doom for those of you guys who don't know. Simply awesome!!!
Bravo, yet another thread that helps move the community foward, you sir deserve a Klondike bar. Keep up the good work and you might be in the running for the Nobel Peace Prize. Good Luck!
