Hello everyone,

My cards were stolen this weekend at the JLA pre-release and it has left me with a rather bitter feeling and resentment toward Vs. I lost some valuable cards, namely 4x Savage Beatdown. I do not feel like spending the money nor the effort to rebuild the deck that I lost because quite frankly it just cost too much. However, I do enjoy playing Vs because the game is enjoyable but the real reason is because I enjoy playing with the people I play with. They are wonderful people but I only see them around Vs events.

I have had thoughts about quitting before and I was wondering if this is a sign that it is time to quit and just sell everything off or do I come back swinging or do I come back and reform the deck and just keep going.

What do you all think?

I'd invest purely in JLA, since you could build a deck or two with mostly that set. Also, since newest sets generally have the high hand on trading power, you could get the sweet cookies that maybe you're missing for your new decks...

Sorry to hear about that. You should be more careful when you are at these events, I wouldn't be surprised if some punk kids who can't afford to play this game stole your cards. You should have left your bag with your friends and I am sure you can go hang out with your friends else where.

If you have thoughts about quitting, maybe you should and sell your cards. If you have a list available I would be glad to make an offer on some of your cards.

Well... I don't know if it was a bunch of kids though I did suspect a group of kids that were sitting around my table rare drafting... but who knows. That was the last time I'd remember having my bag. I went to another table to build my draft deck and I had a quick game and when I returned it was gone.

Honestly, I am quit heartbroken about this. Probably more because someone stole from me more than losing the cards itself. You know it just feels crappy when someone, especially little kids steal from you.

Well, Latuki Joe is right, you should trade for things you need or you can take my suggestion and sell off your cards, maybe not all and use that money to buy replacements cards.

Seriously, invest in JLA. Pick a team. All four are very viable (well, I'm not seeing Injustice Gang). Stick with em'. Much like Avengers, this set seems to be fairly good about allowing you to not go outside the set too much to build an efficient deck. And people will be wanting JLA, so you can get those ones you need from them.

Just don't quit.

At a tournament, my son had my PSP bag, and it was stolen while he was standing right next to it. With the movies, games, and extras, it was over $1000.

Don't let it get you discouraged. I'll send you mega-blasts if it'll help. They're almost as good as savages.

It kinda suck when that happens, I did quit yugioh because a lot of cards started getting stolen where I play, but you could just start all over again though I would just buy cards from newer sets, mainly JLA and some Avengers

I have tons of extra Spiderman and marvel origins, and DC origins, but I havent gone through them yet.

Do you think I should just play the new set and then instead trade backwards for cards in older set? or sell/trade away cards from sets I don't play at all for cards that I need and keep going forward?

Seeing StrykerXL is so interested in buying. I have a lot of cards from GK (obviously!!!!), Spider Friends, Marvel Knights, some Avengers (lost all the goodies), and Anti-Matters. Do you guys think I should just drop some of these teams?

GK is out of the question!!! I never play with my Spider Friends cards and would most likely drop that set... but I do like Spider-man a lot though...

Well you can like trade 3 useless rares for a single rare you need and that someone is willing to trade to you for those, or you can search an online page where they buy/trade cards from/with you.

I know how you feel, I once got 2 100$ cards stolen right under my eyes, it made me want to just stop playing altogether, but I stuck to it! (This was YGO a while back) And because I dealt with my losses, and still came back to that card shop is the reason I play Vs now, you can't give up so easily. A friend of mine trusted a friend of his way too much. Enough to invest 30,000$ (I'm not kidding) in his company. Guess what hapenned? That money was never seen again, but he didn't quit his job and mope around, he learned from his mistake and is very successful right now.

Don't let this get you down, keep on playing and keeping a careful watch over your stuff and you'll be fine!

I say u buy those "VS System COLLECTION"s going on eBay. There's one on eBay right now that has 4 beatdowns and tons of other deecent rares.

That's how my friend got into Vs. For the price of about 3 boxes he got a whole collection and made like 3 decks from it alone.

I feel bad about your loss, don't quit Vs; the mroe the better!

But yea, eBay's the best way to get back into the game cheap.
