I think that modern is going to be all about beating Physical Brotherhood Reservist. Their ability to withstand off initiative stuns via Mob Mentality and swing with Special Delivery is key for this modern format. When making decks, I look for 1 thing: consistency. With Rem-Ram, Sovereign Superior and their ability to splash Wonder Man/ Hawkeye (for the match-ups in which they are necessary), Brotherhood Reservists are never lacking and are always stunning back. A new and improved Avengers, BReservists will be the deck to compete with at PC Atlanta.
As for the decks I think will make a showing, the ones I am playtesting the most against are Chicken Supreme, Avengers, BReservists and FoE (with possible X-Men splash). As we all know, rush seems to be the dominant strategy for modern so we have to keep in mind that being able to withstand powerful decks like Squad and FoE is the primary objective.
I've tried playing the Avengers Clone build, and it sucks so bad. Moving over to the all-Reservist cycling version, it's better, but still not enough. Mob Mentality is a very good card, but it's a randomly useful card if you're playing all Reservists. Admittedly, the optimal 4-drop and 6-drop characters are Physical reservists, but the rest of the drops look a bit more sporatic. Colossus has been extremely unimpressive, and Joanna is a challenging character to play when using the cycling system. I'm going to try retweaking the build some, but I've so far been very unimpressed with the Brotherhood Reservists in the limited formats.
I think that you shouldn't run B-hood reservist due to the mutant massacre thing. I mean ouch.
Morlocks evasion could be an underdog in this one, I mean they do have the beats, and I think it could be one of the first decks that does well on the even initiatives, due to cards like scaleface, and hump.
Actually it's funny... He mentioned Mutant Massacre as a card stopping BH Reservist... that's actually the card that scares me more than anything else when I test with Morlocks Evasion...
I definitely think that the ko cards could be the thing holding back morlock evasion. You are taking all of that damage, then your big guy gets ko'ed anyway? There is a way to stop it, so you have to hope that you get yours before they get theirs.
Avengers will run rampant, since it is so easy to netdeck and make a tweak or two.
Squad is solid, as is faces. The problem with faces is that it dies to system failure. So, you have to decided if you are afraid of the failure.
Bhood reservist is not good enough. I definitely think that there are some options for hellfire and energy though. I'm still tweaking the energy. It's very close but not quite there. It's about 50/50 against avengers. It handles squadron fairly well, maybe 60/40. Once you figure out how to attack morlocks, you are fine. You just have to attack them in the right order. More testing to come, but I think that dominant decks in the environment will be Avengers and Squadron. That should be about 50-60% of the field.
I still run Soverign, just because a huge increase in Wonderman goodness is good. I don't run the ones that cycle like Boot and that location, though. I don't like them.
What B-Hood has that Revengers doesn't is: A tutor, and the early rush game. Amelia, K-Brothers, and Black Panther are the nut draw you want in most games. *Yes I'm that stupid idiot that runs Black Panther over Senyaka. Sue me.*
I'm testing Go Down Fighting right now, but not doing well. Then again, God is saying to me "You can't use Free Amelia like everyone else, which is why you must face 100 games of Artie+Tommy on turn 1. Biatch"
Pumps probably are going to replace it. Revengers may have more power, but B-Hood has the consistency part better worked out.

well, I think that all we should do with the brotherhood is add to what we kno sucks in the avengers decks. that means we have a searcher, another 1-drop besides beast (unless want him to fetch ateam up), another awesome 2-drop, a 2-drop that could be free, a beefy 3 drop, a totaly screw you in the but titans card at 4, and it about stops there. maybe sabertooth at 5, maybe.
don't forget the random jank. I forsee a stall deck, not sure what they are stalling towards though. Maybe Mysterium on 9. Cybelle + Sewer System locks the game on your init, but I've not playtested anything of the sort so I've no idea how it would really perform, But the only major hurdle I really see is wonderman.
