I just dont see it, everywhere people are predicting that b-hood reservists are going to make top tier. I built a deck and have been playtesting it and to be honest I'm a little less than impressed.
Now I'm not saying the deck sucks or anything, it has some powerful cards, some great effects and terrific consistency(44 characters, 4 soveriegn superior and rem-rem=never miss a drop), but in my testing it does not seem to hold up too well against other top tier decks like avenrese and squad.
Even out of the x-men set I find that morlocks evasion, x-curve, and x-weenie all lay the smack down pretty hard on the breservists.
Now admittedly these are just initial impressions, and I def still have some playtesting to do, and I also am playing golden age not mma, but overall I think the breservists are slightly overhyped. ANyone else agree/disagree?
its still not as good as ppl want it to be its gunna be killed by mma avengers and golden avengers childlock glee stall all the good decks will take down bhood but i think if u mix it with avengers that might be a decent deck

In your opinon Not to mention the upcoming format is Marvel modern so only one of the decks you listed will matter.
well the build I'm playing is all mxm stuff, heres the decklist:
4 rem rem
4 kleinstock brothers
4 chrome
3 ameila voght(dont have 4 yet
4 joanna cargrill
4 senyaka
4 spoor
4 ann marie cartez
4 scanner
2 sabretooth(dont have 4 yet)
4 harry delgado
4 colussus
4 homo superior
4 heroes in reserve
4 sovereign superior
3 lying in wait
like I said its a decent deck, and maybe I'm doing something wrong I just dont see it going toe to toe with the other tier 1 decks right now, or even being as good as evasion morlocks and x-recovery.

and that deck is gunna be in the top 8 a few builds will be and there is not alot of time to make a good bhood deck yet because they have lots of play testing to do
I think if you try a more aggressive build you'll see why the deck can compete in modern. Also, it works a lot better when you splash avengers. Here's the build we've been using for testing:
4 Rem-Ram
4 Amelia Voght
4 Chrome
4 Black Panther
4 Joana Cargil
4 Anne Marie Cortez
3 Spoor
1 Hawkeye
4 Sabertooth
2 Polaris
3 Harry Delgado
1 Wonderman
1 Fabian Cortez
1 Exodus
4 Soveriegn Superior
4 Acolytes
4 Heroes In Reserve
4 Flying Kick
2 Boot to the Head
2 Ruins of Avalon
I know this is just a rough build, as I'm sure every group's decklist is different and prefers some characters over others, but this deck does well.

Haven't had a lot of time?!?!
You mean you haven't had the X-men spoiler since Thanksgiving? What kind of 'pro' are you anyway?
B-Hood wont work in GA cause it has to borrow tricks from avengers that means betrayal.
In MMA all its blue cards are Pumps, which is good at ending games (and would have been enough in certain environments, but there are enough tricks in this environment that it may not be enough.
Also Without alot of Natural Flight Reinforcement can kill this deck cold. When it explodes, it needs to make sure all the dam is going to stick and not just get prismatic shielded away.
Its Consistant as all get out, but unless you can hit a curve ball it may not matter.
Prediction : 2 Reservists Decks make top 8 at Atl, 1 strait Avengers and 1 Bhood/Vengers.
Brotherhood Reservists doesn't care as much if its resource row isn't totally full of reservists. It's really more about the replacement effects and drawing into more pumps. So you want to play more than 8 pumps and you don't want to play a 1-way card like Lying In Wait when you could play a 2-way card like The Acolytes along with Heroes in Reserve. Boot to the Head seems essential, too. And oh yeah, Flying Kick should most certainly be in a deck so lacking in flight.
Have you ever replaced a reservist resource on turn six to give She-Hulk invulnerability while attacking and it turned out to be a Call Down the Lightning, so you used that on her too, and then the reservist you replaced turned out to be a Savage Beatdown and you realized that you could then pump through to win the game right then and there? Well, that's how Brotherhood Reservists should work. They're all about the replacement effects to burn through more pumps and also see more reservists.
So you don't go quite as character heavy as Avengers Reservists. Maybe 36/24 ratio of characters to plot twists. Also, Dayspring's deck seems like a pretty good place to start.

Are you insane? Okay, I will agree that B-Hood RESERVIST will not necessarily work in GA. However, look at the many ways that reservist adds to the existing BH archetypes.
TNB: You play the early turns as normal. Then, you hit turns 5 and 6. You place your Reservist resource, activate Genosha, draw your 2nd or 3rd TNB, play a Reservist from your resource row, and place that 3rd TNB in the Reservists place. Two and three TNB draws become reliable as opposed to the unbeatable flukes they were considered to be before.
MBH: The problem with MBH was always that its resource row was more packed than TNB. Again, Reservists help with this by allowing MBH to insert those late arrivals into your row.
BBH: BBH benefits the least from the Reservist mechanic. Except that you do get a new version of Sabretooth and Magneto. However, the Reservist mechanic does help Team-up BBH builds.
With Nth B-Hood and ReTNB, I think BH 'should' make a GA comeback.
I mean the Standard deck you will see in Atl wont work in GA.
BBH gets a Mag & that also gives people +1 att while in the row, not to mentio doubles of people. Yes Please. With the starter you can change the Deck to get the most for your Power ups, playing Toad at 4 Sabertooth at 5 Mystique at 6 and magneto at 7 each of those guys has atleast 3 versions now, meaning Super-Power ups and With Nth its GG for Combat decks.
The Strait Reservist deck wont work though cause it can only win in Combat and then has to go all of nothing meaning it losoes to Child Lock/Glee (catchers Mitt+ recovery)/TT/ CE and anything else that can stop thier Big attacks from going through.
